"Hey," Clarissa spoke softly, gently placing her hand on Aayla's shoulder and shaking her sleeping body. She woke up with a slight start before she looked over at her cellmate through her puffy eyes. "You got to wake up and eat something, girl." She said, holding out a cup of noodles that she had made just for Aayla. It probably wasn't the best choice for her, but seeing as though Aayla hadn't eaten much if anything over the last week or so, something was definitely better than nothing. And if it wasn't for the fact that Clarissa had no trust in the staff inside of the jail, she would tell someone, in hopes that they can help Aayla. For now, she will do the best she can, even if it means fighting Aayla tooth and nail.
"I'm not hungry," Aayla muttered, her voice hoarse and dry. She was just about to roll over and turn away from her cellmate, but Clarissa wasn't having it.
"Aayla, you need to fucking eat. You can't starve yourself when you're pregnant." She said, grabbing Aayla's arm forcefully, but she wasn't aiming to hurt her, just to get her attention, and that she did. "If you want to starve yourself, do it when there isn't a human growing inside of you. Don't be selfish."
Looking back at Clarissa, Aayla narrowed her eyes. "So, if I wasn't pregnant, you'd let me starve?"
"Precisely." Aayla cracked a small and weary smile before sitting up and taking the cup from Clarissa, putting a small thank you while she did so. Clarissa watched wordlessly as Aayla placed a forkful of noodles into her mouth to ensure she actually swallowed and whatnot — because that has also become a problem recently.
It took Aayla about twenty minutes or so to eat the noodles and another five to drink the two cups of water Clarissa made her drink — as it was five o'clock in the afternoon, and this was also the first time she had drank anything as well. Once she was done, she went to go lay back down but before she could, Clarissa stopped her.
"It's not good to lay down immediately after eating." Aayla stared at her blankly. "Come take a walk with me."
"No thanks."
"If you don't want to walk, at least come play Uno with me. You can't lay in bed all day." Aayla turned up her face while shaking her head.
"What is wrong with me wanting to suffer in my bed all day?"
"It's not healthy, Aayla."
"To be honest, I really don't give a fuck." Clarissa sighed.
"What fuck do you want, Aayla?" Aayla stayed silent. "Do you want to die? Because that's where you're going to end up if you don't fucking take care of yourself. Cause I'm not going to be here too much longer to take care of you. Hell, it's not even my fucking job."
