Their Anguish My Satisfaction

Chapter 7

  Mia woke up feeling so confused because the dream she had was so weird it felt so real but how could it be? it didn't even make any sense. How could two people coexist in one body?

It was 'just a dream' she thought until she saw the letter in her hand after reading the letter she got even more confused.

Maya? the one from her dream wrote this? what did she mean by "We ended up getting intimate"

and "He's the perfect guy for us"

Was this a sick joke? was it a prank? what was the meaning of all these?

There was only one way to find out. She was going to ask James and if he confirmed being intimate with her then that would mean Maya was indeed real.

She was lost in thoughts when suddenly her phone rang jerking her back to reality. It was James.

"Umm hello" She greeted thinking of how she was going to ask him about what happened the last time they saw

"Hey Mia I just wanted to check up on you. Hope you feel better?" He asked

"After what happened at your place?" She asked back hoping he would reveal what happened

"Umm yeah about that I'm so sorry I let you leave like that. The thing is I wanted you to be ready you know, to be in the right state of mind before we did anything together. I didn't want to take advantage of you that was why I had to control myself. That was why I stopped." He explained

"So-so we al-almost had sex?" Mia asked with a shaky voice

"Umm yes. Are you okay you sound scared do you want me to come over?" He asked worriedly

"Oh no th-there won't be any umm any need for that. I am fine."  She replied then ended the call.

The truth finally hit her! she had another personality living inside of her. Maya was real and they both shared same body and James got intimate with Maya in her body thinking it was her, Maya said all those things to James not her, James thought it was her but it wasn't.

Wasn't that how she felt? wasn't that what she had always wanted to tell James but was too afraid to do so? Now Maya had helped her do what she had always wanted to do; should she not have been happy and grateful? But wait a minute didn't it make her a coward? what if Maya didn't share same body with her?

Maya did say that she also had feelings for James and she had an intimate moment with him. James also did thinking she was Mia was it right for her to feel offended? was it right for her to feel jealous? what was she to do now that she found out that another personality was using her body to do things she wasn't aware of, things she normally wouldn't do? So many thoughts kept running through her mind. Was all these going to make her life better or worse?

She was so lost in her pool of confusion that she didn't realise her dad was standing next to her.

He angrily gave her a slap across the face jerking her back to reality
