Chapter 9

  Mia woke up from her slumber feeling so confused she remember being on the dining table with Glenda and Granny so how come she was in her room and now it was no longer dark

"Maya must have come again. Is this how I'm going to live my life now? oh she must have taken her bath in my body how confusing." She grumbled as she went to the bathroom to have her bath.

"Mia"

"Yes Granny? I'll be down in 3 minutes."

She hurriedly took her bath then threw on a colorful gown and joined Granny and Glenda downstairs

"Morning Granny, morning mum"

"Mia you know I love you so much right?"

"Yes Granny"

"And no matter what happens you'll always be my granddaughter, you'll always be welcomed into my home."

"Granny what's going on why are you talking like this? did something happen?"

"Glenda I think you should tell her now"

"Tell me what?"

"I'm not your biological mother." Glenda blurted out

"Wh-what I-I don't understand." Mia said letting out a nervous laugh.

"You're the product of infidelity your father slept with his stupid ex girlfriend, he cheated on me that's how you came in here. Your mother is dead Mia she died after giving birth to you. She got what she deserved but then your father Jack begged me to take you in which I did. Since he's dead now you're an orphan." She cried

"Glenda why would you break the news to her like that?" Granny asked angrily

"How was I supposed to tell her? Mia my world I love you so much more than anything in this world I'm not your biological mother I'm sorry. Oh please let me be, let me morn my husband in peace and as for you Mia you can get out of my house now." She yelled back and returned to her room.

"Granny what was that about? I still don't understand."

Mia asked with sadness in her eyes she didn't want to believe that the woman she knew as her mother, the woman she grew up with, the woman she tried so hard to impress her whole life wasn't her mother. She didn't want to believe that she was the product of infidelity that she was born by 'accident' that her being in this world was a mistake that would have been prevented if her dad had used a good condom or if her mom had taken some pills that would have terminated her.

Her mom died immediately after she came into the world so did that mean she killed her mom?

Glenda was right after all she was indeed bad luck, her mom paid with her life because of this 'mistake' sitted next to Granny.

All these thoughts ran through her mind as she sat there, she just couldn't believe it.

"Sweetheart you know I love you so much. With the look on your face I can tell what you are thinking, you are not a mistake my child the fact that you're here means you came for a reason and you have purpose no one is born by accident. I love you Mia no matter what."

"Said every motivational speaker ever. Granny do you know what this means? do you know how I feel? I feel lost Granny my mom died because of me and maybe my dad also died because of me. Your daughter was right I am bad luck why don't you hate me now? I'm not even your grandchild, my father cheated on your daughter and this girl sitting here talking to you is the result. My whole life no one has ever loved me now I know why." She cried

"Come here my child its okay don't talk like that its not your fault and you aren't bad luck you didn't kill your mom and dad it's alright my child." Granny said with tears in her eyes giving Mia a comforting hug .
