ALARM CLOCK

Arabella's POV:

A repetitive noise disturbed me from my sleep. I squinted my eyes open and groaned in disappointment; I looked around and remembered I had stayed the night in the twins room.

I realised the irritating sound was coming from their alarm clock, which was currently informing us that is was 7:30AM. My tired eyes searched around the room, locating the noise which I discovered was coming from the clock on Fred's bedside table – he of course was sleeping through it as usual.

A strong arm belonging to George stayed wrapped firmly around my waist and his head was snuggled into my neck. I attempted to shuffle my way out of his bed in order to turn off the alarm but George only tightened his grip, pulling my closer to his chest and sliding his hand under my sweatshirt.

"George, the alarm," I whined, the noise becoming more unbearable as neither one of them chose to acknowledge it.

George groaned, barely opening his eyes as he reached behind him onto his beside table and searched around a little before finding his wand. Still laid cuddled into me, he quickly fired some sort of disarming spell, aiming carelessly towards the alarm clock.

It luckily hit the clock, which was only a few inches from Fred's face, causing it to fly back into the wall at full force, instantly breaking it. This thankfully did cause the noise to stop.

This made Fred leap up from his slumber, his eyes wide and his hair wild as he looked over at us in confusion and fear before realising what the flash of magic was beside him.

He looked down at the smashed alarm clock beside him, "What the fuck! You could have hit me- you're not even looking!" Fred shouted, his voice groggy from the abrupt awakening.

"Well turn the alarm off yourself next time." George mumbled from the pillow, hearing the smirk in the voice as he wrapped his arm around me again, his wand still in his hand.

After cleaning up and heading back to my own dorm to change and get ready, Hermione and I headed down for breakfast.

"So all is well with the two of you now?" Hermione confirmed, smiling as she squeezed me hand.

"I think so yeah," I blushed, thinking back to George's letter and all of those heart-warming things he said.

"You'll have to tell Ron about that letter George wrote for you, maybe he will onboard some tips from his older brother," she sighed playfully.

"Is he not a romantic? I imagine him to be a proper lovesick puppy dog in your company?" I teased.

She nudged me back and blushed, "I mean I suppose he can be at times, but most of the time his idea of romance is sharing his Chocolate Frogs with me... which considering how greedy he is, is rare."

We both laughed, continuing to walk down the hallway to meet up with the others.

As we reached the common room, the voices of our friends could be heard as it seemed that the Weasley boys were having a disagreement – a common occurrence.

"I'm telling you Ron, last time you were in our room you stumbled into my beside table and knocked my alarm clock off and broke it!" Fred lied.

"Yeah Ron! So that means you owe us a new one," George added, both of them stood side by side grinning to one another.

"That's bollocks!" Ron protested with a confused look on his face, "I'm pretty sure I would remember that."

I decided to add to the lie as we walked towards them, "No no, you definitely did Ron, it was after that night when you got drunk after the Quidditch game so you probably don't remember it."
