Arabella's POV
My first evening in my new dorm with Hermione was exactly as I'd hoped. You'd think that we saw each other enough that we wouldn't have anything to tell each other, but we had so much to talk about.
I'd told her all the times Ron was blatantly flirting with her over the years which she was completely oblivious to. But apparently I'd also missed plenty of 'longing glances' or 'flirtatious comments' from George to which I told her she was mad.
We also did a lot of organising to Hermione's delight. If I'm being honest it actually wasn't that bad, considering whenever she gave me a task to do she just ended it doing it herself in fear I wouldn't do it exactly the way she wanted.
So I just let her get on really, letting her put all of our photos and posters in the places she saw fit as well as letting her take control over the other little decorations which were spread around the dorm. I kept to putting the rest of my clothes away, giggling to myself ever so often, remembering why I had got interrupted putting them away in the first place.
Once we had finally finished, the room actually looked really good. We had a very similar style so they worked really well together, making the room look very simple but super cosy.

It was now around 10pm, we were both now laid on our beds in our pyjamas, completing some homework and having a quiet conversation.
As I closed my book, finally completing my potions work, I looked up over my glasses to see Hermione glancing over at the door before returning back to her book. I watched her quietly for another minute to see her repeating this action, almost like she was waiting for someone to come through the door.
"Expecting someone?" I spoke, startling her and causing her to shoot her head away from the direction of the door.
She shook her head, but her wide eyes and her teeth nibbling on my lips made me think she was lying.
"Hmm, I don't believe you." I teased, raising an eyebrow with a small smirk.
Her lips curled into a small smile as she rolled her eyes and closed her book, "Ugh fine, I told Ron he could pop by tonight to you know... come see the new room properly."
Her voice trailed off as she looked down at her hands, her face flushing red. I sensed her tone and assumed she was actually just wanting to spend some alone time with him now that she's not stuck in a room with other girls who never left the dorm.
But unlike those girls, I could take a hint. Hermione wanted to be alone with Ron and I definitely wasn't going to hang around and disrupt them.
I placed my books on my bedside table, before sliding on some fluffy socks and heading to the door.
"Where are you going?" she asked, looking unsure of why I was leaving so suddenly.
"Well I'm not gonna stay in here and cockblock am I?" I rolled my eyes with a smile, "I'll go hangout in the twins' room for a while, and if Ron wants to sleep in here tonight I'll just come back in the morning."
