As I sat on the edge of my bed, I listened to the shower running down the hall. Dean was showering, and I took that as a few minutes where I could let my unbridled fear show on my expression. That feeling was eating away at my gut, Dean told Levi so security measures have tightened, but it isn't going away. My lip is taking the brunt of the damage, pretty sure I have a permanent scar now. Now I chewed on my lip intensely, fiddling with the ends of my hair. Lately this fear has been accumulating, and Dean has been worried, so not a lot of happy is happening now.

Despite my efforts, when Dean entered the room I barely acknowledged his presence, as I just stared. Dean slowly adjusted my face so I was looking at him. "You're lip is bleeding again." He commented, pulling my bottom lip out from under my teeth. Reaching past me, he grabbed a tissue and started dabbing my bottom lip, his brow drawn, forming a crease in his forehead. Dean made the expression so often now I was sure he'd just have a permanent crease in his forehead. "Sorry." I mumbled through the cloth. Dean leaned in and kissed my forehead softly. "Kittens aren't supposed to hurt themselves." He complained, I smiled a little at his teasing. "Don't tell me how to live." I retorted, Dean chuckled, and then grinned in a familiar way.

"No."

"I didn't even say anything."

"You didn't have to."

Dean rolled his eyes, "It isn't bad, we should just get out of here." He explained, I raised a brow. "You're tough, and you're not meant to be caged up in your house. Let's go on a date or something. I'm tired of sitting here and waiting to be attacked. Not really a good way to improve the mood." He explained. I grinned at the offer, my smile mirroring his. "Sounds like a good plan."

"When you grin like that I really want to kiss you." Dean admitted, looking at my crooked at grin then back into my eyes. Raising a taunting brow I said, "Nothing's stopping you."

Dean's grin widened, "You're right."

He cupped the sides of my face and pulled me in. When his lips touched mine, happiness exploded in me, overshadowing the paranoia. This was the first time we've actually kissed in like a month, and it felt good. Neither of us really willing to pull back and go back to being depressed. So instead we kept kissing, my hands found the back of his neck, and when he pulled back for a breath, his lips glided down my neck. I leaned in as his lips pressed against my collarbone, my heart was beating fast, but by now I didn't care if he heard my pulse or not.

With my lips close to his ear I whispered, "When are we going to leave?" He pulled back, smiling. "Tonight, it's easier that way." Dean responded, we both fed off of each other's happiness. "Why don't we just get a hotel room or something..." I offered, his brow raised at the accidental implication.

My face flushed at the implication, "Not like that you idiot!" I exclaimed, slapping his shoulder, he fell back laughing, my cheeks pulsing red from embarrassment. "I just don't want to go back in the middle of night, I'd want to go to sleep." He just kept laughing, so I sighed and stood up. "Stupid dog." I muttered, knowing he heard me, that just made him snicker.

"I'm going to take a shower." I announced, before I even had my hand on the door knob, Dean's fingers lightly wrapped around my wrist. I turned, raising a brow, so ready to tell him off. I even got in what Dean calls me, signature-sass-position, in which I cock my hip out a little, I bite the corner of my lips, my brow raises, and I cross my arms. "You can't go." He really was like a puppy, with wide pleading eyes, begging me to stay. He was like a puppy in the way he made me want to relent and stay here and play with him. "And why is that?" I asked, my tone expectant and sassy. Dean cocked his head to the side in an unfairly adorable way, "Kittens don't like water." He commented, I rolled my eyes, and turned. His arm snaked around my waist, and pulled me against his chest.
