Sandra's P.O.V.

When I woke up that morning, it took me a few seconds to process he was gone. I sat up, the bed feeling oddly empty. Once I noticed the open window, I jumped out of my bed. Slowly I closed it, numbness encompassing my body. He couldn't be gone, he couldn't be gone, he couldn't be gone...

I tried to convince myself that, but it was hard. Then I ran. I opened every door, every closet, everything. Like I could find Dean hiding in the refrigerator, 'Hey kitten, just thought it'd be more comfortable in here.' But he wasn't there, and then it sank in. He'd taken up the offer, he was going to kill himself because he thought it'd help me.

Sorrow and anger built up in me, and I let out a glass shattering scream of agony. It took so much out of me that I fell to my knees. Tears fell from my eyes, and my heart raced. No, please no, please no, please no. I desperately fumbled anything to help me convince myself that this was a dream but it wasn't. The only person I'd ever truly loved, was going to die. Maybe if I'd told him I loved him, maybe if I'd treated him better. All I could do was stare at the ground, and watch my tears fall onto the tiled floor. Every time another tear hit the floor the reality sank in and my heart broke more.

Next thing I knew I was running to my room, and throwing on mismatched clothes for school. Levi would help. I shoved on mismatched socks, in fact I was surprised I didn't shove on mismatched shoes. After that, I left my backpack, forgetting it, and ran out the front door, slamming it behind me. Honestly, I had no idea I could run for so long. But every time I remembered that Dean was going to be killed, I ran faster. I ran all the way to the school and burst into the door. I was early. Quickly I ran to Levi's classroom, he looked up from his desk in surprise. He inspected me, my eyes were wide, my chest was heaving as I panted, my clothes didn't match, my socks didn't match, my hair was a complete tangled mass, but I didn't care.

"Levi." I breathed, he hurried over, taking me in his arms, and closing the door. "What is it Sandra?" He asked in concern, "Dean, he left." Tears were falling out of my eyes, and I did my best to disregard them. "What?" Levi asked, "A couple days ago, Trent told him that if he gave himself to them to kill him then they'd leave me alone, and when I woke up this morning he was gone." I explained through panting and crying. Levi stiffened completely. "Sandra, Dean isn't here, so I'll ask you, do I have your blessing to bring the family pack to find him?" Levi held me still and we both stared into each other's eyes.

Dean would hate it if I did this, he'd hate it so much. He told me how much he didn't want to involve his family in this, he'd hate me so much for it I don't know if he'd ever love me again, but I was not going to let him kill himself for me. "Yes. You have my blessing. We have to find Dean. And fast. I don't know how long they're going to take to kill him. We might only have a few hours." I answered, Levi called someone then turned to me. "Go wait outside, my wife is going to pick you up, I have some calls to make." He ordered, I nodded, and left. People stared, and as I waited for her, I pulled out my phone.

"Mom." I said, "What now dear?" she asked. "Take me out of school, I want to go to homeschooling on the computer." I ordered, she sighed. She obviously didn't want me to throw a tantrum while her and dad were away. "Okay." She said slowly, and I hung up, just as Levi's wife pulled up. She had pale skin, light eyes, curved lips, she was tall, slender, and looked nothing like Levi. "Get in dear." She said, and I did.

She took me to their house instead of mine, and lead me in. "If we go to your house they might kill you for summoning another pack." She explained, "Why?" I asked, god there are so many reasons they want to kill me. "In our culture summoning another pack in one pack's land constitutes war." She answered, and I froze as she locked the door. I was literally starting a war just to get Dean back, great, I thought, another reason for him to hate me after we rescue him. The I paused, that was even if he rescued him, if we didn't I'd start a pointless war and not even get what I wanted back. I tried to ignore the thought.

She surprised me when she took my hand in her's, "You have courage for doing this Sandra," she gently tucked my hair behind my ear, "That's why Dean loves you. Keep it, it's what will also help find him." She comforted, pulling back. I was taken aback by her gentleness, she wasn't like the other werewolves I'd met. She was gentle. "My name is Diane, call me that, don't worry about formalities." She added, and then she laid a blanket on her couch. "You should rest," she advised.

I knew she could hear my heart exploding in my chest, but I couldn't sleep when I knew Dean was on the verge of dying every minute we wasted. "I can't." I responded, she smiled. "Then I'll make you something to drink." She walked off before I could protest. I couldn't even sit down, I paced around, imagining all the ways Dean could be killed. What if they just shot him right then and there?

Diane stared at me as I paced, then she shoved a warm mug of hot chocolate into my hands, and urged me to drink it. After a couple sips I realized she must have put sleeping drugs in here. Slowly my eyes drooped shut and I struggled to keep them open. "Go to sleep Sandra, you'll only eat yourself alive at this rate. You'll need your strength." Diane urged, stroking and patting my back like a mother would do to her daughter to get her to sleep. It worked, and soon I fell asleep.

When I woke up, I was in my house, and there were four people in it. Diane, Levi, and some guys. One was tall, angular features, light brown hair, and cunning brown eyes, the other had blonde hair, blue eyes, tan, and tall. They all talked, ignoring the fact I was awake. Slowly more and more people poured into my house. Until there were about thirty werewolves in my house. Levi was the alpha of a pack that had thirty members? They must've had lot of kids. Diane and another werewolf chick prepared food for arriving members and by midnight, forty werewolves were all crammed in my living room. Not to mention they were all extremely attractive.

"Levi why are all your family members so attractive?" I asked, he winked playfully, "What can I say? We have good genetics." He responded teasingly. By 1:30 fifty werewolves were crammed into my living room, chatting until Levi clapped his hands together, and the response was almost instantaneous. Everyone went silent and looked at him. "Is this everyone?" He asked, they nodded in silence. "Dean has fell in love, and went to go sacrifice himself for this girl here." All of me wished Levi hadn't said that, cause now I had the eyes of fifty werewolves boring into me. Their gazes seemed to say, what makes her so important?

I stared back, looking strong, and ignoring the fact they could all sense my fear. There was a larger problem the fear, the death of the guy I loved. "Anybody have ideas for how to track him down?" Levi asked, and then now all of them looked at me expectantly, like they wanted me to just have a plan right then and there. Except, I did.

"My idea might need some work, but I think it's pretty good," I started, my voice loud and clear, completely the opposite of how I felt. "Well, continue," Levi urged.

Diane smiled encouragingly as me and I inhaled. Screw these judgmental wolves, I was getting Dean back.

With that thought, I started talking about my plan.
