Dean raced me outside, the bloodshed wasn't evident, it looked like Trent's pack fled.

He took me to the front yard, and that's when I let out a dog like whimper, and he threw me. Yeah I know, you wouldn't expect my boyfriend to toss me out of his arms like trash, but that's what he did and for good reason to. Right when I hit the ground, I started shifting. It was painful, my bones snapped like all of them were being broken, the heat coursed through my body like I was tossed into a desert in all black clothing, and I was shouting in pain. I was dimly aware of what was happening, my mind felt so fuzzy and disconnected.

My arms and legs snapped into weird shapes, and grew fur. Soon enough, I was stand upright, no - crawling, wait no standing. It took me three seconds to realize I wasn't human, as I inspected my new form, my golden brown hair turn to flowing golden brown fur, I was huge, but when I looked forward, Dean was shifted too. His blue eyes gleamed, I was large, but he was larger. He took a tentative two steps forward and I surprised myself when I growled. Then I realized something, some of my humanity was gone, now I had to fight the animal in me, and try not to go insane. Even though we were wolves I still felt his emotions. His love, concern, fear, all jumbled up inside.

Despite my human half recognizing him, my animal half didn't and I stood perfectly still until it finally clicked in my animal brain. Dean was my mate, my other half. We were attached, which was probably the only reason he wasn't getting mauled.

Sandra, his voice rang clear in my mind, I thought I was hearing things. No kitten, in wolf form we speak to each other telepathically. He added. I blinked once in surprise, but responded anyway, don't you think now that I'm a wolf too you can't call me kitten?

No.

Then he winked. Suddenly everything hit me at once as I realized I could hear more, smell more, see more, it was painful. I stumbled to the side, and Dean ran up to support me. Then I smelled something new. Trent, Dean thought, his hatred and rage seared through him. I looked up at him, Let's get him, I responded, Trent tortured me, I'd be more than glad to kill him after all he's done.

Like that Dean and I were running into the forest, even though I felt weird in my new form I quickly grew accustomed.
What was going to happen to us?

That was unknown.
