Chapter Sixteen

               Kira POV

I opened my eyes and found my head on chase's chest as his arms were on my waist.

I gently removed his arms from my waist so as not to wake him, I checked the time on my phone and it showed that it was just 5am in the morning...

I tiptoed out of his room and shut the door quietly

I went to my room and wore my casual black bodyguard outfit... I took the letter which was written by chase's mom and took it to his room, I placed it on his bedside table..

It was time chase knew the truth.

I took a paper and pen and wrote down a few words

" Dear Chase

I'm sorry for keeping you in the dark ever since, I was so scared to tell you the truth

I'm a secret agent who's here to expose your dad's crimes..

I don't know how you will react to these but I hope you understand the reason I did all this...

I dropped the paper next to his mom's letter, I stared at him one last time

I don't know what came over me as I leaned in and placed a kiss on his forehead and then left.

It was time to finally expose Mr Anderson for all his evil deeds before he comes back...

I entered his room and I went straight to the bathroom, I tried raising the tile but it wouldn't budge..

I tried it again and the tile shifts, which means I was right! There's an underground space under this tile

I pulled the tile one last time with all my strength and it all came out revealing a dark passage to me

I entered inside and everywhere was dark, I switched on my phone torchlight

And Lo and behold! Gold bars!!

I quickly grabbed my phone to call Leo and immediately he picked

"Leo come over now!! I've found the.."

Suddenly my phone was snatched away from my hands

It was Mr Anderson back from his trip!

And he looked raging mad.

"You sneaky witch, I always knew there was something up with you" Mr Anderson said

I started moving backwards as he slowly walked towards me

How did he come back suddenly?

"I'm gonna kill you today right here.." He said

"You know what? Kill me, strangle me to death just like the way you killed your wife and son's nanny!" I said

He froze for a moment as his face went pale

"What did you say?" He asked

"You heard me right, you're a murderer!" I said

He was just about to slap me across my face when a hand held him from behind and it was Leo!

"Don't you even think about it" Leo said

I was lucky Leo and the police barged in just in time and arrested him!

Who knows what he would have done to me

            Chase POV

I heard noises downstairs as I forced my eyes open

I wonder who's making such a ruckus when it's still early in the morning.
