Chapter Nine

            Kira POV

Damina avoided Chase and I throughout the day thereby making my day easy...

So the teachers gave them a classwork that is to be submitted after lunch time.

Chase had asked for my assistance so we were both in the library as I was explaining some things to him

He just wasn't focusing what I was explaining to him and I was getting frustrated.

He just kept staring at me as I was explaining instead of concentrating on what I was saying

"Chase! Why don't you focus?" I asked

"How can I focus when my eyes can't seem to leave your beautiful face" He said

My cheeks was getting hot under his constant gaze

"Hmmm chase enough flattery..if you don't focus this time,I won't explain it to you again" I said

"Ok ok fine I'm sorry..now what were you saying?" He said as he acted as if he was concentrating

I explained it to him one last time and he luckily understood it.

        Kira POV

I've decided that I must search Mr Anderson's room tonight

So after I was certain that everyone was asleep especially Chase so as not to experience what I did the last time..

I sneaked into the room and turned the lights on

I started searching everywhere, atleast even if it was a clue about where he could be keeping the Gold bars.

Mr Anderson sure knows how to hide something.

I was scanning through the drawers when I heard the door click

"Why do I feel like you're always up to something anytime I fall asleep?" Chase asked staring at me intensely

Oh no! Is he suspecting my actions now..

I have to cook up an excuse

"No I was just looking for you" I lied

Shit Kira! What sort of excuse was that.

"You were looking for me in the drawers, I'm not sure I could fit in there... are you hiding something from me Kira?" Chase asked.

This is it! I'm over

Oh come on Kira,think of something

Oh god! I needed to distract him.

I couldn't think of any other thing as I did the unthinkable

I walked up to him, grabbed his face and kissed him on the lips and worse,I kinda enjoyed it

"Woah what was that?" He asked

I covered my face in embarrassment

"I was just craving your lips sir" I said

"I knew it,no one could resist me, not even you " he said proudly

"I guess you're right and anyway,we have to sleep now. It's late" I said

"How can I sleep when you just kissed me?" He asked

I tried getting rid of him but he was persistent.

First, he insisted that we watch movies together on Netflix for two freaking hours!

And then he even made me sing him a lullaby to help him sleep

After I finally tucked him in bed, I found myself staring at his face

He actually looked like a beautiful angel when he's asleep.

Ah what am I saying?

The next day at school, Chase did something that gave me the shock of my life.

At lunch time,he stood on a table and announced to everyone that we were dating

Everyone gasped as their eyes turn to me

And Damina went wild!

"What is the meaning of this? What are you saying chase?" Damina asked

"I said what you just heard" He replied

"This girl is a lesbian and I'm the one she actually likes" Damina said

The whole cafeteria burst out laughing

"Why are you laughing? I'm dead serious... she doesn't really love you like I do chase, she's only getting back at you because she's jealous" Damina said

I could see how hurt and pained she looked

I suddenly felt pity for her as chase just ignored and walked past her

Her brother, Damien rushed to her side

"What are you saying sis? Have you gone mad?" He asked

"No, you and everyone else in this cafeteria has gone mad,you all aren't seeing that Kira is doing this to get back at me,she actually likes me...why don't you all believe me" Damina said

Damien walked over to chase and aggressively pushed his shoulder

"What do you think you're doing chase? Look at what my sister is saying because of you... look at her condition" He said

Damina was shaking vigorously on the floor

"You remember that day you said she's just your bodyguard and now what happened? She's your girlfriend now"Damien said

He grabbed Chase by the collar and was about to punch him,he stared at me from a corner and quickly free chase

Chase didn't speak back at him, instead he turned to me and knelt down to tie my shoe lace

              Chase POV

"Silly girl,what if you flip and hurt yourself" I said

Kira looked around the cafeteria and said

"Everyone calm down, Chase is just joking about the dating thing" She said

Joking? I never said I was joking

The tension seemed to relax as everyone went back to their food

She glared at me as she pulled me to the side and confronted me

"What in the world are you doing?" Kira asked

"You like me and I like you,so we're dating right?" I said

"Are you crazy? If your Dad finds out about this, we're dead" Kira said

"Don't worry, he's too busy to even check up on me" I said

"From now on, I'll protect you and serve you instead" I said

                Kira POV

"From now on, I'll protect you and serve you instead" He said

My heart started beating fast at his words

You stupid heart!

Okay fine, I'll just have to play along with this fake relationship

"Ok fine Chase but please I don't want anyone else to know about this our relationship" I said

"Why? I want to announce to the world that you're mine" He said

"I know but I don't want,I just don't want the attention" I said

He sighed and said

"okay then, anything that makes you comfortable" he walked off

I'm sorry chase but I have to do this.

If it's a relationship you want,then a fake relationship you shall get.

I just need to only play along and don't get distracted...
