Chapter Fifteen

               Kira POV

I jolt a bit as chase carefully held my hips..

I could feel my cheeks burning and I knew he was aware of it

He guided my hand to place on his shoulders as we danced slowly to the music

I usually don't like this sort of music because it was too slow to my liking,I prefer the hip hop music better

But dancing here with Chase made the music sound melodious to my ears.

I'm slowly changing,what is wrong with me these days?

I smile whenever he's around me,I blush whenever he looks at me or compliments me,my body tingles anytime he touches me...have I fallen completely in love with him?

No way, I'm just hallucinating!

Maybe I just developed a soft spot for him a bit...

It was time to change partners as Chase twirled me and another person caught me

"Hello baby girl" I heard that familiar voice say

I looked up and saw a smirk plastered on Damien's face

Great! I had to get caught by Damien but then who's Chase exchanged partner, i turned and saw that it was Damina..

They were both chatting away as I felt a pang of jealousy in my heart

Calm down Kira, they're both just friends now, no need to feel jealous

Wait,why am I feeling jealous?

Damien starts talking to me as we danced but it all sounds like gibberish in my ear as my eyes concentrated on Chase and Damina

My mind wasn't able to concentrate on anything he was saying...I didn't even know the reason why I felt jealous.

We twirled back and went to our former partners, Chase caught me as he gave me a flirty smile as we danced

"Missed me?" He asked

"Of course not" I said

He rolled his eyes... He snakes his hand around my waist and pulls me closer

My face was heating so much as our lips were just inches away from each other.

Just when chase starts leaning in to kiss me,the music stopped and the dancing finished.

I felt sort of disappointed that we didn't get to kiss and I quickly brushed the feeling away.

My phone rings as I checked the caller ID and saw that it was Leo

I went outside the prom hall and answered the call

I told Leo about my new findings and suspicions with that different tile in Mr Anderson's bathroom... He told me to further investigate that bathroom and I nod

I heard someone calling my voice and I turned to see Damina running towards me in a frantic manner,I quickly end the call as I sensed something was wrong

"Kira..chas..chase is" She said trying to catch her breath

"Calm down first, now tell me what's wrong?" I asked

"Chase is competing against Damien in a drinking competition" Damina said

"What?" I gasped

"Yes, I've being trying to stop him but he's not listening to me, you're the only one that can stop him" Damina said

"Ok let's go" We both went back inside the hall and we heard chantings as a crowd gathered at the middle

I pushed through the crowd and got to the center flinging the bottle away from chase's mouth
