Emerald P.O.V.

"Thank you for coming back Slendy." I say smiling. We had been in his secret place for about two hours and had decided that it was about time that I got some sleep. "It was no problem at all, though I can't stay." I frown and nod in understanding. If he stays, he might unintentionally bring death upon us both and to be honest; I don't think either of us wanted that. "Okay, but will you be able to visit again soon?" I ask with hope. "I'm not completely sure. While I was away, no one found or tried to kill me, so I took it as a safe time to visit, but whether or not it will be the case again..." I smile in reassurance before going up to kiss him. While my eyes are closed, I feel him wrap one arm around my waist. When I open my eyes I realize that we had teleported to my room.

"Now, I must go and you must sleep!" He exclaims as he lifts me up into his arms and walks over to my bed. I laugh as he sets me down and pulls the covers over me. I smile gently up at him and bring him into an embrace. "Until next time?" I ask quietly. "Until next time." He repeats before kissing me passionately. He then smiles and disappears from the room. I smile back sadly at the now empty space where he once stood. I then close my eyes, willing myself to go to sleep.

I wake up in silence as I stare at the ceiling blankly. I sigh as I lift myself up into a sitting position. I look around the room in a haze before getting ready for another boring day. As I brush my teeth I think about last night's events. I smile lazily as I remember the slow, romantic dance, glowing yellow flowers, and love-filled air.

Once finish, I walk out of my room to see Kasper getting ready to head out the door. "Oh, well aren't you up early today!" He exclaims as I head down the stairs. "Yeah..." I say quietly as I yawn. "Well, take care of yourself and don't forget that you can call me whenever you need to!" He says while opening up the front door; an autumn breeze making its way inside. I smile and give a thumbs up in response. He nods with a smile and walks out the door. With that, I head to the kitchen to begin my raid through the pantry and refrigerator. Once I get some cereal, an apple, a glass of milk, and a small novel I retrieve from the living room, I head outside.

The air is chilly, but not as much as I suspected. I read for about a half hour before getting up to stretch my legs. "Huh..." I sigh as I look around the meadow from my spot on the porch. "I wonder if any of Slendy's family members are watching me right now." I squint and look around suspiciously at the edge of the meadow. "Anyone out there!" I yell out; nothing.

I look out at the treeline for some time before noticing something. "What's that?" I ask myself as I head towards it. It looked like a break in the forest just a few yards away from the treeline. Once I get close enough, I realize that it's a trail. It's about two yards wide and is bordered by polished stones about the size of my hand. "Well, I haven't seen this before." I think as I look down the trail. It went on for about half a mile before banking to the right and leaving my line of vision.

After a couple seconds of self-debating, I decide to follow it. It was quiet out for the most part, accept for the rustling of leaves. As I walk down the trail, I start to think of all the events that had led up to this. Was it all worth it? I mean, I know this is all being done for both Slendy and I's safety, but it's been hard. My mind has been telling me to stay put where it's safe, but my heart's telling be to pay no attention to that and stay with Slendy no matter what. To be honest, it felt like the last five years were beginning to repeat themselves.

As I walk with my head down, I fail to notice another person walking in the opposite direction of me. "Emerald, is that you?" My head shoots up in surprise. How in the world does this person know my name? "Emerald, surely you remember me?" For a couple seconds I stare at him in confusion until I recognize his face. "Ty, it's you! It's nice to see you again!" I exclaim as I extend my arm out to shake his hand. He takes my hand with a smile and says, "It's good to see you too! Well, how are you doing?" I smile back and say, "I'm doing well. I just found this trail a few minutes ago, so I thought I'd see where it went." He nods and says, "I see; do you live near here? This trail can be hard to find unless you live near it or actually looking for it."

"I'm staying at a friend of mine's house near here."

I try to stay as vague as possible with my answer, just in case. "Interesting. Well, I better head off. It was nice talking to you!" He waves and I wave back as we begin to move in opposite directions on the trail. I walk on for a few minutes before stopping in confusion. "Something's off, but what?" I think to myself while looking around. It felt like someone was watching me. A chill runs down my back as I hear something move behind me. I whip around quickly to see what it is. About a yard behind me stood a very pale girl without a face. She wore a simple black dress that stopped a little bit above her knees which matched her long, wavy, black hair.

I gasp in surprise as I hold in the scream that almost came out. "Are you alright?" Her accent is heavy with German influence. "Um, yes... Who are you if you mind me asking?" She's quiet for a moment before saying, "You can call Slenderwoman." I nod and say, "Well, it's nice to meet you, but why were you asking if I was alright?" She looks around and replies, "I felt a very powerful presence nearby and came to investigate, but by the time I got to where the presence was strongest, it was gone. I sensed you nearby also, so I wanted to check if you had seen anything." I give her a confused look while saying, "Well, I didn't see anything strange. Are you sure it was here?" She nods and says in a serious tone, "Very."

"Okay then, well I didn't see anything, but I wasn't paying too much attention." As I say this, she begins to walk towards me. In one stride, she is already in front of me and looking down to stare at my face. I start to feel uncomfortable as she puts her palm to my forehead. "Well, I'm going to send you back to the house just in case. I don't need Slenderman getting on me if something happens to you." Right after she says this, she presses me backward with the palm she has on my forehead. I tumble back in surprise, but I become confused very quickly as I look around; I was back on the porch. "What in the world..." I mutter.

As I wash my face in preparation to go to bed, I think of that girl I met earlier in the day. Is she related to Slendy too or are they friends? Also, what did she mean when she said she sensed a strong presence near me? All these questions go racing through my head as I blindly look for the towel I left on the counter. Once I find the towel, I dry my face and keep it there for a while. I sigh and take the towel off my face. I gasp in surprise as I see that the bathroom is pitch black. The only exception is the mirror which seems to be slightly glowing. I whip around to reach for the door, but quickly realize that it's not there. My breathing starts to rise as my panic rises with it. Where am I?!

Then, I suddenly begin to hear footsteps coming in my direction. "Who's there?" I ask in a panicked tone. Right as I say this, I begin to feel light-headed and fall to the floor with my head in my hands. The footsteps stop in front of me, which causes me to look up, but I can't't see anybody. I then feel someone lightly press their hand to my cheek. I want to pull away, but no matter how hard I try, I can't move. My vision starts to blur out just as soon as I see a silhouette. Then, just as I black out, I hear a voice.

"You're mine now, you precious, little jewel."
