Emerald P.O.V.

I look up at Trenderman in confusion.  Why in the world would he be pissed off?

“And why exactly are you pissed off?”

“You left the house.  When you leave the house, we can’t protect you very well.  It’s fine for him to leave, but not you.”  He says in a very serious tone.  “I can’t imagine that it’s that bad to leave the house every once in a blue moon.  Besides, we came back didn’t we?”  I say back.  He’s silent, just staring at the two of us.  After about a minute, I notice the large snowflakes that are starting to fall hard onto the ground.  “Look, if you really want to talk more in depth about this, then can we go inside?  It’s starting to snow pretty hard.”  I look over at Kasper and ask, “If that’s okay with you.”  He looks a bit less nervous than he did before, but it was still there.  He nods in approval and we begin to walk towards the house.  As I walk past Trenderman, I see him turn and start to follow behind me.

Once we get to the door, I open it up and allow them in before I enter.  After I enter the house, I notice they had seated themselves over in the living room.  I join them by sitting on the right side of Trenderman on the couch.  For a good time we’re enveloped in silence.  I then look over at Trenderman and ask, “So, what is it that you’re protecting me from anyway?  Slendy was never super clear about that.”  I hear him chuckle almost unnoticeably when I say Slendy’s name.  “Well, we’re protecting you from our kind, to be more specific, the Enforcer.”  I tilt my head in confusion.  “The Enforcer?  Who’s that?” “The Enforcer is pretty much who you may call the leader of our kind.  He enforces the laws we’ve had since the beginning of our time and disciplines those who go against them.”  I nod in understanding.  Then, with a serious tone I say, “So, are you breaking a law too by keeping me safe?”  He nods and says, “Yes, but we are very secretive, even to our own kind.  Let’s just say word doesn’t spread very quickly with our kind for the most part.”

Then, suddenly I hear a gasp come from Kasper.  I look up at him to see that he was staring back into the kitchen.  I turn my head also to see what had caught his gaze.  I start to hear white noise coming from the small radio that Kasper kept in the kitchen.  I look back at Trenderman and realize that he had stood up.  “I’m sorry, but I must go.  It seems that someone is calling me.”  He then walked over to the door and opened it.  “Well, todaloo!”  And with that, he left without a trace.

After Trenderman had left suddenly, Kasper and I chatted and read some books in silence.  Throughout the whole rest of the day, I noticed Kasper was avoiding electronics like the radio, television, and even his phone.  I figured it had something to do with the white noise we had heard before Trenderman left.  I wasn’t really bothered by the whole ordeal.  I was pretty use to weird, creepy happenings.

As I lay in bed, staring at the dark ceiling, I wondered what Slendy was doing.  Was he alright out there? Was he in any sort of danger?  I sigh and roll to my side to check the digital clock on the nightstand.  It said “1:15” in bold, green letters.  I groan and roll back onto my back.  “Well Emerald, what would you like to do this late at night?  Get some munchies or read?”  I mumble to myself quietly.  I decide on both and start downstairs to the kitchen.  I rummage through the pantry and refrigerator in search of good snack food.  “Nothing…” I mumble.  Without the food, I head towards the living room.  Before I got there though, I stopped.  I stared at the front door in contemplation.  Should I go out there?  I mean, nothings stopping me and I’d be nice to read out there.  I stare at the door a little longer before making up my mind to go out.

So, with my coat, gloves and hat on and my novel in hand, I head out the door and sit down on the porch chair.  I read for a small while, but I soon get distracted.  I gaze up at the stars in wonder.  They were so much more visible here than they were back home.  I smile as if the stars would smile right back down at me.  When I look back down at the tree line, I see something.  It had a figure like Trenderman’s, but it was coated in black clothing while Trenderman was wearing light colors.  I get up and start to walk towards it, suspecting it was only Trenderman or some tree.

As I got closer though, the figure disappeared.  “Huh, must have been one of them.” I say to myself and turn around to head back to the house.  Right as I turn around, I run into someone.  My eyes widen as I inhale through my nose.  It was the familiar scent of crisp woodland.  For a time, all I do is look straight ahead.  I stare at that familiar red tie that I came to enjoy.  I then hear him say something which directs my attention to his face.

“My dear Emerald, you would not believe me if I told you how much I have wanted to return to your embrace.”

Slenderman P.O.V.

After speaking, I stare into her deep blue eyes which glowed in the moonlight like a clear expanse of water.  “Slendy…?”  She asks, her voice starting to shake.  “Yes, I’m here.”  I say smiling down at her.  Tears begin to flow from her eyes as she brings me into a tight embrace.  I hug back, relived that she was okay.  After a long while, we finally separated.  I then smile in anticipation, remembering what I came here for.  “Your Highness, would you allow me to take you somewhere?”  I say in a teasing tone.  She chuckles lightly and smiles.  “I would love that.” I smile back and pull her back into my arms in preparation to teleport.

Once we arrive, I release her and allow her to look around.  She looks around in amazement at the dazzling scene before her.  The forest was illuminated with a faint blue light while the yellow flowers seemed to glow brightly.  Tall grasses also littered to area.  She looked back at me with excitement and curiosity in her eyes.  “What is this place?  It’s nice and warm here and there’s no leaves on the trees or the ground!”  She exclaims while stripping herself of her cold weather gear.  “It’s my secret place.  I discovered it long before I ever met you.  I would come here often when I was young.”  She stared at one of the glowing flowers in wonder.  “It’s beautiful!”  She says with a smile on her face.  She then looks at me with humorous look in her eyes.

“Would you like to dance, Prince Slenderman of the Black Forest?”  She asks with a curtsy.  I laugh and say, “It would be an honor.”  I then grab her hips and gentle pull her against me while she wraps her arms around my neck.  We sway back and forth slowly while imagining slow, beautiful music.  She then places a light kiss upon my lips before resting her head on my shoulder.

“I love you Slendy.”

“I love you too, dearest.  Forever and always.”
