Wrath's Curse

Chapter 9

Italics either mean someone is speaking in German or they are speaking with lots of emotion

Slenderman P.O.V.  

                As I wait in front of the portal, I hear a yelp come from the other side.  I straighten up and brace myself for when she came flying out and into my arms.  She soon plops out a few minutes later, the portal slowly closing behind her.

                “My thanks Jeff.  Mind yourself while I’m gone, okay?”  I hear a snort before Jeff says, “Yeah, no problem, sir! Anyway, you don’t have to tell me to behave myself!  I’m a prime example of a perfect human being!”  I chuckle and shake my head while mumbling, “You’re about as humanly perfect as me, my friend.”  Then the portal closes and I bring my attention to Emerald. 

                Her eyes were squeezed shut and she was groaning.  “Emerald~” I purred.  She slowly tried opening her eyes, being blinded by the sun in the process.  “Slendy?”  She asks quietly.  “Yes, it’s me.  Are you okay?  Geez, I hope Jeff wasn’t too harsh with you!”  She groans again and shields her eyes so she can see without the sun blinding her.  

                “Where in the world are we?” She asked as she looked up at me.  “Black Forest, Germany.” I say bluntly.  She suddenly jumps up, startled by my words.  “Were in Germany?!” She asks, alarmed.  “Yes Emerald, we are.  I decided to bring you here, where I think you’ll be safest.” She gives me a confused look and says, “Why couldn’t you just bring me yourself?” “Well, someone had to keep the portal open.” I say.  She sighs, “Okay, put me down.” I obey and put her gently onto the ground.  Right as I let go of her she starts to collapse to the ground.  I quickly grab her before she hits the ground and start to hold her again.  “My legs fell like jello…” she states quietly.  “It’s probably from going through the portal.  I guess I’ll carry you to our destination.” And with that, I start speed walking in the right direction, causing a gasp to escape from Emerald.  

Emerald P.O.V.

                He then starts speed walking and very quickly for that matter.  I gasp at the sudden movement and look up at Slendy.  He was looking ahead, obviously determined to get to wherever the heck he was taking me.  “Slendy?” He grunts and looks down at me, still continuing to walk.  “Why don’t you just teleport?  Wouldn’t that be faster?” He nods and looks back up.  “Using a portal takes a lot out of me, so I’m just giving myself a break.” “Oh” I say while looking back down.  As he walks with me in my arms, I take in the scenery.  It was around fall time and the leaves that had fallen off the trees were bright red, orange, and yellow.  The trunks of the trees were coal black, giving an eerie, but beautiful look against the warm, bright leaves.  It seemed like the forest went on forever, never stopping.

                After a long while, Slendy finally announces that we’ve arrived while I try to stay warm by snuggling closer to his body that felt like it was on fire.  I look up, going away from the comfortable warmth, to see where we were.  We were in a meadow, like the one at home, but this one was smaller and had no pond.  Near the middle of the meadow is a good sized cabin, maybe bigger than my own.  As we got closer, I noticed someone on the porch of the house.  It was a man around my age sitting on a chair with a blanket wrapped around his body for warmth.  His nose and cheeks were red from the cold and it looked as though he had dosed off.  “Where are we?  Who is that?” I ask, looking up at Slendy.  “That man is a dear friend of mine and this is his house.” Before I could ask more questions, we were on the porch next to the man.  Slendy then reached out one of his arms to nudge the man.  "Kasper! Aufwachen(Kasper!  Wake up)!” He groaned and squirmed around a bit before opening his eyes.  He mumbled something in German before realizing who it was.  Once he realized it was Slendy, his eyes widened and he shot out of his chair with a confused smile on his face.
