(A few minutes earlier Steve's room)

Steve sat with Sketchbook and pencil in hand, admiring his drawing of Sharon holding a new-born Sarah in her arms. It was a drawing he'd found himself coming back to. He hadn't drawn anything in weeks... His friends began to worry, feeling this was a stage of depression or grieving.

"On your left." Sam comfortingly said, as he began to sit. Turning to him, Steve smiled and placed the sketchbook back on the table.

"Always." He replied. Sam looked down at the portrait and smiled,

"She'd be proud..." Sam tried to comfort his friend, "...Of both of you." He finished.

Steve looked at him and smiled, "She loved her Sam, cherished that little girl and yet she never got to see her grow up... and that's on me." he stood and walked over to the window and Sam began to follow,

"It's not your fault. We all feel guilty for what happened, if we had killed Loki when we had the chance then she'd be here now. Probably telling you the same thing."

"She should never have been there in the first place, she was trying to help me and if I had said no!" Steve began to argue,

"Then we would have had double the casualties. Sharon saved a lot of people that day. She's a real hero." Sam was trying to get through to Steve, to make him see sense. He attempted to put his arm on his shoulder, but soon lost balance as the compound suddenly began to tremble. As if on cue, Barton came running in,

"WE GOT TROUBLE!" he yelled through the quakes.

Steve and Sam began to race out of the room and ran in different directions to cover more ground. Sam and Clint went right, towards the armoury, whilst Steve headed left towards Sarah's room.

"SARAH?" he called, reaching her room and opening the door. Steve began to panic as he scanned the room and couldn't see her anywhere. Running back into the corridor in fear, Steve raced down the halls and through the doors hoping that he'd run into her, but instead he ran into Peter.

"Captain? What's goin on?" he asked, looking out towards the now darkened sky. Steve looked out in confusion, watching the flashes of thunder and lightning.

"I don't know...Where's Sarah?" He asked. Peter looked back at him in confusion,

"I haven't seen her since yesterday!" he replied, sending a shiver through Steve's body. Deciding to let Peter help, Steve turned, placed his hand on his shoulder and said,

"Alright I want you to swing around outside and see if you can find her. When you do get her to her room and don't take your eyes off her until I get there." He ordered, feeling the power flow through him as the anticipation and fear for her safety grew.

"Swing round. Find Sarah. You got it Cap." And with that Peter jumped out of the window and began to swing around the compound. Steve watched until he'd vanished and began running again. He came to a sudden stop when he began to hear gunshots from outside. He looked out in horror as men and women began being shot down by something that no one could see through the fog that began to grow outside. Steve grew angry and became more worried; he began to run faster than ever.

Steve reached a door that was blaring with bright lights, Shading his eyes he tried to open the door. No matter how hard he tried, the door didn't budge but as the light began to dim, Steve saw two small slim figures through the window of the door. It was Peter and beside him...

"SARAH!" he yelled trying to open the door, which was mysteriously locked. But as he violently tried to break it down, Steve began to notice a third figure with them. A taller, darker figure. A sudden bright light blared through the window of the door and he threw himself against the door trying to get to his daughter as quickly as possible, but as the light dimmed, the door finally opened, but it was too late. Steve had found Peter knocked to the ground unconscious and Sarah was nowhere to be seen. She had vanished. "NO! SARAHHHH!" he yelled.
