All that could be heard was the humming engine of the quinjet. It lowered further to the ground, allowing Steve to step down from the ramp and look around. Natasha, Clint, Sam and Peter followed and took position behind Steve as he placed his shield into position on his left arm. Peter held his Spiderman mask tightly in his hand, feeling nervous and guilty all at once. Clint and Natasha clocked their weapons in place. Sam pulled his glasses down as Steve turned to look behind him, placing his finger to his ear he said,

"Okay Stark scout the area. We need to know exactly where Loki is and who is under his control." Through his earpiece, Stark sat in the driver's seat of the jet and began to start the engine.

"Copy that. Friday, give me a map of the area and correlate that with the missing people's last known locations." Tony's voice echoed through his ear piece as the jet began to rise into the skies over London. Steve looked to Nat and Barton, addressing them with a battle strategy,

"You and Barton search the ground to see what you can find." They both nodded and began to run in opposite directions. Peter and Sam walked closer to Steve as he watched Nat and Barton vanish into the streets

"Me and Parker will scout the higher buildings, see where he's keeping her." Sam volunteered to search the top of the buildings. Peter looked to Captain America with a slight worry in his face,

"You alright kid?" Steve said addressing Peter's expression, Peter nodded and began to place his mask over his face. Peter then stood up straight, and placed his hands by his side, clenching his fists,

"I'm okay, I just feel like I could have stopped her from being taken." He replied, Steve quickly interjected, filling him up with comfort.

"Hey, this isn't your fault and you did everything you could to protect her..." Peter gave a small smile as the words gave him a little hope and with a slight nod from Steve, Sam and Peter soared into the air. Swinging and swooping through the skies, Steve watched as they dodged through buildings and down streets. He smiled and began to run down the city centre.

"I'm coming, Sarah!" He gasped, as he ran faster.

(A few minutes later)

Steve had run for miles before finally bumping into Romanoff and Barton. Out of breath Natasha turned to Steve as Stark's voice came through their ears.

"Cap, we got eyes on the target. South side of the Shard building." Steve and Barton's eyes widened as the news Steve was waiting for gave him the hope he needed.

Sam's voice came through next,

"Steve, Loki has guards in every window on every floor of the building. There's more on the 107th. Loki has her trapped." Natasha looked to Steve

"Then that's where she'll be." she said as she gave a sarcastic remark, "Well at least he's made it interesting." Barton looked to Steve as they turned to find that they were standing in front of the building that they were looking for. Raising their heads slowly to the top. Steve gave a deep breath and spoke to the rest of the team.

"Alright team, let's go!" Natasha and Clint raced into the building to begin their ascent up to the 107th floor. Steve followed them with shield in hand and determination filled his heart as he fought his way through each of the guards. He counted down as each one fell, getting one step closer to his daughter.

(The 107th floor- A few minutes later)

Loki stood at the window watching the city below, he smiled as he noticed the thuds and screams coming from the guards falling. He lifted his head, he knew they were coming...and he was waiting for them.

BANG! The door broke in half and violently crashed to the floor with such force, causing a puff of smoke to emerge from beneath it. Through the smoke, stood three figures. Natasha came through first, gun in hand and stepped to the right-hand side of the door. Clint came in next, bow poised on the left with an arrow in place, locking eyes on Loki. Lastly, came Steve, shield in one hand and his other fist clenched at his side, taking the centre.
