(Briefing Room)
It had been an hour since the attack on the compound and an hour since Sarah had gone missing. Everyone had gathered around the table in the briefing room. Sat away from everyone, Peter kept silent as the other Avengers began arguing amongst themselves in the middle of the room. Trying to shake off Loki's attack. Hills and Fury were nowhere to be seen and Steve found himself in the corner of the room again, standing with his arms crossed in anger because of what had happened in front of his eyes. Just as the room became silent, Fury walked into the room. Steve turned to face him and listened,
"Alright, we've been tracking through Loki's activity for the past few weeks and so far, all we've been able to find is a countless number of missing people." Natasha stood forward and began,
"So, he's been using innocents to do his dirty work again." Turning to Barton she finished, "Sounds like him." Fury nodded his head in response.
"So, what do we do?" Rhodes asked. Fury looked at all of them and replied,
"Well at the moment...there's nothing we can do." Steve suddenly straightened up and angrily called out,
"NOTHING! I'm not just gonna sit here and wait for my daughter to be found." Everyone looked to Nick and waited for his response.
"Steve. There's not much we can do. We have no idea where she is." Banner spoke up, but was shot straight back down as Steve became frustrated.
"She's my daughter and you want me to just sit here and wait." Tony came to Steve's side and said,
"Rogers...we will find her. I promise you." Steve knew he was only trying to help. Turning to Fury apologetically, Steve asked, "So where do we start?" The room fell silent for a while. Remembering something, from earlier, out of nowhere they all turned to a voice in the back of the room.
"London!" Peter spoke, breaking his silence. Standing up, Peter continued his theory to Steve, "You said that he'd been working on something there so... and he said something earlier to me and Sarah about London." Tony patted Steve on the shoulder and addressed the group.
"So that's where we start. Nice job kid." Stark said. Everyone looked from Peter to Tony and to Nick. Steve walked over to Peter and put his arm on his shoulder giving him a hopeful smile before he said,
"Suit up...We're heading for London."
(Meanwhile in London)
Sarah and Peter looked from each other to Loki. They both stood in a defensive position, Peter stood slightly more forward protecting Sarah. Sarah looked over to Peter as he took more steps forward.
"Peter, whatever you're thinking don't." She softly said, but before he could reply Loki interrupted,
"If you two don't mind, I'd like to have what I came for and take my leave." Peter shot his web shooters towards Loki as he flourished his daggers. Peter jumped and flipped around Loki as the two ensued in a little battle, "You're quite the insect aren't you boy." He crowed.
Sarah was tired of watching her friend being hurt and joined in with attacking Loki. Jump kicking and punching him as gaps were left from Loki attacking Peter. "I think it's time for an incy wincy spider to have a nap don't you?" Just as he finished taunting, Loki had thrown Peter around so much that he was beginning to tire. Sarah watched as Loki ran towards Peter and struck him, knocking him out.
Sarah went towards him to help, but before she could reach her friend she cried "PETER!" Loki grabbed her and hit her behind her head, causing her vision to blur before eventually she vanished in a bright light.
Sarah's eyes fluttered open slowly. She felt groggy as she sat up, her head hurt, and her body felt heavy. Her eyes were blurring colours of blues and greens, until finally she rubbed her eyes and could finally see clearly. She got up from where she laid, centering herself in the room and began to look from left to right,
"Ahem!" a voice coughed from across the room, causing her to turn quickly on the balls of her feet... and there at the end of the room stood Loki, who was leaning against the wall staring right at her. Quickly remembering what had happened, Sarah ran towards the window. Looking out of it trying to distinguish where she was, Sarah looked down and around and began to realise where. The Shard. London. England.
"Asgard not enough for you anymore?" She mocked as she began to walk into the centre of the room. Mirroring her steps, Loki began strutting towards her. Sarah looked him up and down as he grew closer to her. Finally reaching her, Loki straightened himself up, crossed his arms and tilted his head cockily to the side, "I know who you are and you don't frighten me." She tried to hide her fear with confidence as he locked eyes with her.
"Oh, do you?" he said as he smiled mischievously. Sarah watched as he was so close that he could touch her. Inches from her face Loki took a breath, leaned into her and spoke. "Well, it just so happens that I know you." He softly whispered in her ear, causing her breath to be shallow as her eyes followed him. He began to walk around her, making her feel intimidated. She took a sharp gasp as he traced his fingers through her hair, around and down to her cheeks. Something ignited in his eyes, and he began to laugh menacingly at Sarah, "Little soldier girl all grown up..." he spat. Sending a sudden rush of anger through Sarah, causing her to throw a punch at him, but was stopped as Loki caught her fist and threw her across the room into the wall. Grunting in pain, Sarah tried to catch her breath, rasping through the pain.
"How do you know who I am?" she asked, watching as he came towards her. Sarah quickly tried to get back to her feet before he could reach her.
"You have your mother's looks but unfortunately you are father's daughter. It's a shame that he's a murderer." He replied as he watched her lean on the wall that was holding her up for support
"YOU'RE LYING!" she cried angrily as she launched for him again. Sarah used every punch and means of attack she could remember, but Loki was stronger and predicted everything that she'd do. With one kick to the stomach, she flew back into the wall again, hitting it so hard that it cracked as she dropped to the floor. Sarah wretched out in pain. Although she was strong, she was still mortal. She felt pain as much as the next person. "Ahhh" she seethed in pain, trying to lift herself but it was too much, Sarah began to feel heavy again. Loki looked down at her and watched as her eyes began to flutter shut. He approached her slowly, looking at the now unconscious girl and sighed. Gently he wrapped his arms around her to lift her, carrying her to the bed. Placing her down gently, he covered her with a blanket.
"Now my work can begin." He softly said as he began turning to leave the room, Loki smiled as he took one final look at Sarah and smiled.
