I was the first one up after that dream/nightmare/weird parent meeting

It was early morning and the sun was rising. The orange yellow light hit the forest and everything around me lit up. The sky had this beautiful lighter blue color. Warmth fills me up. Gods, I wish I could stay here forever. No more weird parent meetings, no more fearing death, and no more stress. My life has been so different since I was brought to camp halfblood. It was cool for a bit, having a Godly parent. But now everything just made me stressed and anxious. Is it even worth having these cool powers if I can literally die any second. I just sat there, outside the tents, gazing at the sun and the trees.

Just breathe. That's all that matters right now.

I closed my eyes. Felt the sun hitting my eyelids and my body warming up to the sunrays. I felt at peace. Only feeling the sun, and its energy.

I opened my eyes to see my hand palms were lit up. I smiled. I'm really getting the hang of this power thing. I also noticed I felt better. Less tired and no more body ache. I focused on something else and my palms returned to normal. Even though these last two weeks have been different (good or bad), I'm proud of myself.

"Good Morning stranger" Percy said.
"Goodmorning Perce" I said to him. His hair has grown so long I noticed. It was all messy and curly. It was cute though.
"How long have you been awake then?" He asked.
"I think a couple of hours. Not sure. I've just been sitting here to be honest."
"That sounds boring ahah" He laughed at me.
"It was not! It was actually productive. I healed myself, and this time I didn't faint!" I said proudly to him.
He smirked. And he finally sat down beside me. Again, very close to me. Our shoulders are slightly touching.
"I had a dream about my dad." I finally said.
"Really? What was it about?"
"He said that something is brewing and Zeus isn't letting the Gods communicate with us. He also said the enemy we are fighting is asleep right now, and that I will have to make an important choice." I explained.
"Oh, well that's a lot to take in. I've dealt with a sleeping enemy before. Let me tell you, they are not fun." He said laughing.
"I hope it becomes clear what or who we are even fighting against. I also have a feeling that those past nightmares were about the enemy we are fighting."
I hoped that those nightmares didn't mean anything. But the more I thought about them, the more I realized they were about the enemy. If this was true, I should be scared shitless.
"I think you're right. But please don't dwell on those nightmares too much, okay?" He asked me.
"Okay, I won't." I said to him. And he started smiling. I laid my head down on his shoulder and could now smell him. Which sounds weird. But he smells like the sea. If I just closed my eyes, I could see myself sitting at the beach with him. Just us and his stupid guitar. Back in New York.

"Good Morning you two!" Malcolm said while opening his tent. Percy and I both scattered away from each other hastingly. "Oh yeah, good morning Malcolm." Percy said annoyed. "So I've been thinking. I think we need to make a stop in Chicago, we are driving past it anyway." He explained to us. "Why? It's a big city, which could mean monsters." I said. "Yeah, it's a risk I know. We need supplies though. And we could use a nice city trip." Malcolm gestured towards Percy. Percy just rolled his eyes. "Okay fine. We'll go to chicago! Besides, I've always wanted to see that big mirror bean thing." Percy said. "You mean the cloudgate?" I asked him. "Yeah, whatever its name is." He laughed. With that we all started packing our stuff. Everything was loaded up eventually and today was my day to drive. And that also meant my music.

We drove through boring landscapes and small deserted towns. Nothing special. Until we reached Lake Michigan, and eventually Chicago. After exactly  3 hours and 30 minutes. The city was chaotic and has been nothing like we've seen these past few days. It was nice being in a crowded place again. But I had lowkey learned to love the small deserted places. Percy woke from his nap. "Are we here yet?" He asked. "Yeah, I just need to find a parking spot somewhere around here." I told him.
