Being under the apprenticeship of Dire Crowley himself, Vil knows more than what regular students would know. School secret, hidden passageways, private affairs, everything that Dire knows, Vil usually would know as well. The current ghostly wedding situation wasn't a surprise for him. He had seen the bride flying around his school before, only to leave at midnight, tears streaming down her face as her entourage mourned their broken-hearted princess. He had asked about the bride and the search for her groom and Crowley had answered with everything he knew. But it wasn't something that was so important so Vil pushed the knowledge to the back of his mind. But it seemed that he needed that knowledge again now.
"Alright. Here's the plan." Vil tucked some hair behind his ear, revealing an earpiece walkie-talkie. "Ortho you're coming with us as the other's eyes and hold the ring." He patted Ortho's shoulder who gave him a salute but didn't tear his eyes to the processing laptop screen on Deuce's lap. "All of us will try our best to woo the princess and whoever succeeded, Ortho will give the ring to him." He turned to the Heartslabyul first year. "Are you done over there?"
Deuce let out a low grumble. "Almost got it..." His fingers were tapping at a speed that could rival Idia himself. The numbers on the laptop screen suddenly stopped and a loading bar appeared. It only took them a few seconds before the bar was filled with a 'ping!' The brunette nodded in satisfaction. "I did it!"
Ace let out a whistle. "How are you doing that? I've never seen you hacking before."
"I've been tinkering with electronics since I was a kid. Why do you think my laptop lasted for ten years?" Deuce said, pulling the USB cord from the back of Ortho's head. "Alright, Ortho. Try it."
"Okay!" Ortho closed his eyes. "Connecting eye camera to Deuce Spade's laptop... On!"
When Ortho opened his eyes, the screen on Deuce's laptop went static before it showed high-quality CCTV footage. Deuce pumped his fist. "It works!" He turned to Vil. "Now we can see what Senior Vil is saying and communicate better."
Vil patted his head. "Good job, Potato." For some reason, Deuce blushed at that. Vil gestured to the rescue group. "Alright. Everyone, let's go."
Walking out of the shop, Leona was the first one to state his opinion. "Who makes you the leader?"
Vil rolled his eyes. "Well, do you know a way to get inside the building without getting caught?"
Leona let out a scoff. "Like you have better plans than fighting your way through."
"As a matter of fact..." Vil gave him a sideway glance, eyes shining challenging. "I do."
Instead of walking toward the school, Vil led them down toward the Hall of Mirrors. They didn't go into the building but instead to the rocky wall beside the stairs. There isn't anything special, none of those special markers. But Vil still took out his magical pen and pointed at the wall, opening one of Night Raven's secrets. A magic circle appeared, but it wasn't Vil's signature glyph, but it was shaped like a keyhole, followed by the sound of something unlocking. There was a gentle grumble as the wall crumbled, revealing a hallway made out of stone.
"A secret passageway?" Jack voiced most of their astonishment.
Vil eyed Leona, who looked absolutely pissed, with a smirk. "You really think a school filled with princes and heirs would not have a way to escape from sudden attacks?"
Sebek lit up. "You are absolutely correct! Before Silver and I attend this school, Master Lilia taught us about every secret route in this school. I have memorized every path for the safety of Malleus-sama!" He pointed at Leona. "As a prince, you should know the ways to safe your life since you're the future of your country!"
