Chapter 5: Encountering a demon

- Hey, just because Master Kagaya has already accepted Giyuu... will the others accept him too?

Narrator's POV:

It was almost night time, the time where demons arise. Sanemi knew he had to protect Giyuu at all cost. 

''Shinazugawa, are you okay?'' Giyuu asked, all worried. ''Yeah I'm fine, I just feel something bad is gonna happen. Whatever you do, never leave by my side, got it?'' Sanemi told Giyuu. Giyuu nodded staying near Sanemi. 

And out of nowhere, black tentacles charged at the two and Sanemi held Giyuu and jumped to the tree while Sanemi sliced the tentacle protecting Giyuu. ''Shit, a demon!'' Sanemi said. The demon then decided to show up, it was a lower moon, but sure was powerful. 

''Oh? that one you're holding sure looks tasty, how about you give him to me and I'll spare you?'' the lower moon said. 

''No fucking way! That's just ridiculous.'' Sanemi yelled at the demon.

''You surely love to just make things more difficult.'' The demon charged it's tentacles at Sanemi and Giyuu. Sanemi pushed Giyuu aside and was able to block and shred the tentacles.

''Wind breathing, First form: Dust Whirlwind Cutter.''

The demon barely dodged that. it surely did hurt, but the demon used it's blood demon art causing a tentacle to charge at every direction to Sanemi. 

Sanemi was able to cut through them all, but it was a bait. Sanemi got tangled up and his sword fell to the ground. 

Sanemi's POV: Shit! How the fuck did you not predict that Sanemi?! Oh no, the demon is gonna capture Giyuu!''

The demon giggled, and had a tentacle to charge and Giyuu. But Giyuu dodged and had a few sharp water slashes and it was able to injure the demon. 

''What the fuck?!'' Sanemi said quietly.

Giyuu ran to get Sanemi's sword and tossed it at Sanemi. Sanemi caught it and freed himself from the tentacles.

''I don't know what the fuck just happened, but that was so fucking cool. But you really owe me an explanation after this battle. GOT THAT?!'' Sanemi yelled.

Giyuu said yes. As the Sanemi fought with a sword, Giyuu fought with water manipulation. 

(surpriseeee Giyuu actually has powers :OOOO)

Sanemi then used his 6th form, and was able to destroy the demon in pieces. Sanemi landed onto his feet and looked at Giyuu.

''Now, explain as we walk.'' Sanemi said in a harsh tone.

The two walked and was silent. Sanemi yelled at Giyuu to explain. As Sanemi kept going on, Giyuu finally encouraged himself to speak up.

''Basically every mermaid has water manipulation, it was gifted by the Gods so we can also protect ourselves from any harm, but that power wasn't enough to save us from the attack of the humans.'' Giyuu said.

Sanemi looked at Giyuu silently, Then looked at the sky to see Shinobu aiming for Giyuu. Sanemi stepped on Giyuu's way and blocked the attack from Shinobu.

(ah yes Shinobu, Giyuu, Tanjiro and Nezuko scene. But instead Sanemi is Tanjiro And Giyuu is Nezuko.)

''Ara~  Ara~, Why are you protecting that demon?'' Shinobu said with a smile on her face.

''He's not a demon, Nor human, YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND!'' Sanemi yelled. ''You know it isn't nice to yell at people like that Shinazugawa-san.'' Shinobu said with a soft tone but deep down we know she's annoyed. 

''I don't give a fuck butterfly bitch, just don't kill him. Master Kagaya knows his condition and accepts who he is.'' Sanemi said angrily. 

''Oh? And please tell me why should I believe you?'' Shinobu asked.

''Jesus Christ, can we not. TODAY?! We both killed a demon and we're pretty exhausted!'' Sanemi yelled.

''Wait, Both of you killed a demon? is he a Demon Slayer?'' Shinobu asked with a confused face. 

''It's a really long story, but he's a mermaid and he has water manipulation.'' Sanemi said as he  tried to calm himself.

''Please explain this tomorrow, I will allow this to pass for awhile. Have a good night!'' Shinobu said, then jumped to the sky and fluttered like a butterfly. (AY AY AY IM YO LITTLE BUTTERFLY) 

''Oh my god, let's go Giyuu.'' Sanemi said. The two walked back to the Wind Estate and had dinner together, after preparing themselves for bed, Giyuu walked up to Sanemi and hugged him.

''Thank you for protecting me Shinazugawa.'' Giyuu said.

''Hey it's nothing, and you can call me Sanemi whenever you want. Just not in front of specific people.'' Sanemi replied, hugging him back.

The two went to bed and cuddled as they both fell asleep.
