Chapter 8: Aftermath of the battle with the ''Flute Demon''

Sanemi's eyes start to blink and he sees the night sky, filled with stars. Sanemi felt a bit dizzy and his whole body was aching, his breathing is a bit messy but finally got the hold of it. Then Sanemi hears sniffing beside him, Sanemi sat up to see Giyuu with tears all over his face.

''What the fuck? Why are you crying?'' Sanemi asked.

Giyuu wiped his tears and tried to speak but he struggled as he just kept sobbing.

''I- I'm sorry if I- couldn't help out. I wish I just stayed back at your estate and didn't ruin your mission, the demon was able to escape cause of me.'' GIyuu said.

Sanemi was pissed that Giyuu was blaming himself for Sanemi's injuries and the demon's escape. ''Jesus Christ, could you stop being such a baby. I was the one who let go of the demon, if it wasn't for you I could've drowned!'' Sanemi yelled.

''So stop blaming yourself! It's pathetic! I'd hit you if you weren't so fucking pretty.'' Sanemi added.

Giyuu just looked at him still with his sad face, which annoyed Sanemi so much. Sanemi then pulled Giyuu for kiss just so he won't look sad anymore. And also because Sanemi missed his lips.

Sanemi's crow's POV: ''Gays.'' 

The crow asked for some backup from the Kakushi people. After a long walk from the battle scene, Sanemi was brought to the Butterfly Mansion and Shinobu was there to treat Sanemi's injuries. While Giyuu stayed outside. Shinobu went outside her mansion to see Giyuu with a concerned face. Shinobu walked up to him and started a friendly conversation.

''Ara? Are you the mermaid Master Kagaya mentioned?'' Shinobu asked with a smile. Giyuu nodded and was a bit afraid of Shinbou cause they're first meeting  was a bit terrible.

''No need to be afraid of me, I understand you now since Master Kagaya told us about you.'' Shinobu said with a smile. ''Do you want to see Sanemi?'' Shinobu added.

Giyuu's eyes lit up and nodded. Shinobu showed Giyuu the way to where Sanemi is resting and left the two for awhile.

Giyuu felt sad seeing Sanemi in a bad state, he couldn't help but keep blaming himself for why Sanemi ended up like this. Giyuu put his head beside Sanemi holding his arm as he was about to tear up.

A few minutes later, Sanemi starts to wake up and looks beside him seeing Giyuu asleep with tears formed just not too long ago. Sanemi wipes them and gives Giyuu a kiss on the forehead and whispered, ''You're really cute when you're asleep.''

Sanemi pulls Giyuu closer to him and hugged him as he was about to fall asleep. It was better to have his arms hold someone than it being lonely.

Shinobu and the other pillars we're about to visit Sanemi to check his state, but instead. The pillars see Sanemi resting comfortably with Giyuu in his arms

''KYAAAAAAAA!!!! They're so adorable together!'' Mitsuri said trying to be really quiet. ''Flashy Shinazugawa!'' Tengen said. ''Homosexuals...'' Obanai said. While the Hashiras just kept talking about the two, Sanemi wakes up and instantly gave them a mad face.

''Holy fuck, you guys can't even mind your own goddamn business!?'' Sanemi said as he was trying his best not to wake up Giyuu. ''No I don't think we can!'' Rengoku said with his booming voice. Which caused Giyuu to flinch a bit. Sanemi just told them to leave and let him rest.

Of course the Hashiras had to leave and let Sanemi rest. Sanemi adjusted Giyuu to the be in a more comfortable position and Sanemi sat on the edge of the bed. He looked outside the window seeing rain. 

Sanemi's POV: Wow of course, it had to rain when i want to leave this mansion with Giyuu. Guess I have no choice but to stay. 

Sanemi sat down the floor while the bed was supporting Sanemi's back. Sanemi rose his right arm to hold Giyuu's hand. Well, Sanemi's body was still aching but he doesn't really care.

''Sanemi?'' Giyuu quietly said. ''Oh, you're awake?'' Sanemi said as he turned to face Giyuu.

''You are injured, please stay in the bed.'' Giyuu said with his concerned and sad face. ''You're back with the sad face, stop whining about me my injuries don't hurt too much'' Sanemi said. Giyuu didn't buy it, so he pulled Sanemi gently in the bed so he won't cause Sanemi to feel pain. 

''You're very stubborn, Sanemi.'' Giyuu said. Sanemi just rolled his eyes and pulled Giyuu as if he was a pillow. ''We're leaving when the rain stops, let's just rest here for now.'' Sanemi said.

It was midnight and few hours has already passed. The rain has stopped. Sanemi was still awake and Giyuu was asleep. Sanemi took his sword and carried Giyuu and walked to the Wind Estate. While the Sanemi was still walking, Giyuu woke up due to movements which caused Giyuu to get a bit dizzy. 

''Hey, I'm awake. You don't need to carry me anymore.'' Giyuu said.

''Shut up, I like carrying you.'' Sanemi said with an angry tone. Giyuu released his arms from the shoulders of Sanemi's and got to his feet. ''Isn't that tiring?'' Giyuu asked. Sanemi was to upset to answer so he just held Giyuu's hand and continued walking.

After arriving, the two cleaned up and ate dinner since they refused to eat in the Butterfly Mansion. Right as Sanemi and Giyuu was about to go to bed, Sanemi pulled Giyuu for a kiss before they could to bed.

The two cuddled and eventually, they fell asleep.
