Chapter 12: That one morning with you

''...Nee-san!''...''

''Stay there! Don't get caught!''

''Capture them, not a single one should survive!''

Giyuu's POV/Nightmare: 

Blood, cries, screaming, suffering, pain. It was the most tragic thing to ever happen to us mermaids. Blood covering my sight as I tried to find my sister. But she was already gone, dead. She was taken from me. My best friend pushed me aside as another person tried to capture me. Instead of me, it was my bestfriend who got captured. My loved ones has been taken away from me. My tail was badly injured leaving me unable to swim properly. I then found myself, slowly falling and I see those murderers retreat. Why? Why was I the only one who survived? Why did I have to be saved? Why was I this weak? Why couldn't I be the one captured? Why has this happened to me?

Everything happened too fast, then my eyes closed shut. My body has reached the bottom of the ocean.

I passed out.

...Sniff...sniff...

''Ugh... What the-'' Sanemi groans as he wakes up wondering what's the noise he's hearing. Sanemi turns to his back to see Giyuu crying. 

''Wh-what the fuck Giyuu!? What happened?!'' Sanemi said as he went near to Giyuu. ''Nothing, just a nightmare.'' Giyuu stuttered. Sanemi quickly wiped off Giyuu's tears as he gave leaned to give Giyuu a kiss. ''Shut up, stop crying. I'm here.'' Sanemi said as Giyuu's head dug in  Sanemi's chest. 

Giyuu's POV:

This feeling... The... Same one I felt when Sabito hugged me like this. I'm feeling a bit, in love. With Shinazugawa. No, way in love with Shinazugawa. I haven't felt this kind of love other than with Sabito. Though, I never confessed to him. I'm afraid he'd reject me. All I know is that, Shinazugawa likes me.. right? Ahh... No, just stop thinking about this. I'll end up crying for sure.

''Are you okay?'' Sanemi whispered. Giyuu nodded. ''Let's take a walk, something to clear your mind.''  Sanemi added. 

''Okay.. I'd like that.''

Sanemi and Giyuu both prepared as Sanemi wore his uniform under a simple, light green omeshi. While Sanemi gave Giyuu the other light blue omeshi which Sanemi never wore. Sanemi hid his sword under his omeshi and two has left the estate.

The street wasn't crowded, it was only Sanemi and Giyuu, who we're holding hands. Cherry blossom trees swaying gently with the calm air. Some trees haven't bloomed yet, but it's time will come. A petal landed on Giyuu's hair, as Giyuu tried to remove it but didn't know where it was. But Sanemi had to do it for him, gently brushing it off from Giyuu's head.

''Thank you, Shinazugawa-san.'' Giyuu smiled as he thanked. Which suddenly reminded Sanemi of Kanae.

''...Thank you, Shinazugawa-san..'' A soft, sweet voice said in Sanemi's head.

''K-Kanae..?'' Sanemi blurted out. ''What was that?'' Giyuu asked. ''N-nothing. Anyways, uhm. Let's just stop by that lake. Let's take a seat for awhile.''

''Shinazugawa, did you mention someone named Kanae earlier..?'' Giyuu asked. Sanemi went speechless for awhile, but this was a question he couldn't ignore for Giyuu. 

''She was the late flower pillar. I used to like her, though I never really confessed to her. She got murdered by that asshole Uppermoon 2.'' Sanemi replied.

''Oh. I'm sorry for that.'' Giyuu whispered. ''It's fine, I kinda like someone else now.'' Sanemi said.

Giyuu was too surprised to realize that Sanemi already confessed to him, and the person he likes is none other than Giyuu. 

''Dumbass, it's you.'' Sanemi said as he smirked at Giyuu. Giyuu blushed, damn.

''Anyways, can I kiss you. Again?'' Sanemi asked as he turned to Giyuu. ''Well- oka-'' Sanemi went for a kiss just before Giyuu could finish his sentence.

''Caw caw, bitches.'' Sanemi's crow said. ''The leader of the Demon Slayer Headquarters is expecting to see all the hashiras present at the Headquarters.'' The crow added.

''Yes of course, you decided to ruin another moment.'' Sanemi said trying to hold his urge to choke his own crow. ''Well, you go ahead. I'll just stay alone by myself.'' Giyuu said to Sanemi.

''What if you get hurt? I can't just leave you all by yourself.'' Sanemi said. Giyuu insisted he'll be fine, but Sanemi really didn't wanna leave him. But he was running a bit late to the meeting so he had no other choice but let his own husba- I mean Giyuu on his own.

''Fine, but if I ever find you dea-'' Giyuu hushed Sanemi before he could finish his sentence.

''I'll be fine, go ahead.'' Giyuu declared. Sanemi sighed, giving Giyuu one more kiss before he left. And Sanemi went off running as swift as the winds.

''I already miss him.'' Giyuu sighed.
