Yas's birthday(Final part)

We're over at Yas's house now,the boys just dropped us off and so far I'm happy we didn't spoil the surprise yet. We have to get dressed now and so far I think Yas isn't that hyped. That's a good sign.

"Baby"  I call Yas...
"What's up Kie?"
"Let's get dressed"
"What no! I'm famished,I ain't going nowhere"
"Pretty please,I promise I'd wear a gown also if you agree"
"Pinky swear to that because most times you scare me"
"When have I ever turned my promise down Yas?"
"Okay then,you better not be tweaking with me though"

"Hi girls,how was your day?" Yas's mum greets us as we walk in. Yes she knows about the surprise.
"It was absolutely lovely Mrs Mira,we had so much fun and now we want to dress up to have fun one last time" I say and wink at her. She smiles.
"I had the best time of my life mom" Yas says
"I'm glad baby,I'd let you girls be now" she says as she walks away.

I and Yas rush into the bedroom.
"Okay outfits! I have no idea" I rant
"Well that's why I'm the fashionable best friend,do you wanna do your makeup yourself?" Yas asks
"Yeah I can handle that,it's your birthday not mine after all,sit down now so I can curl your hair" I want to make her hair look extremely pretty cause I have the style in mind.
"Hey Kie, I love you,you know right?"
"What do you want?"
"Oh nothing nothing,the thing is what's going on between you and max?"
"Nothing really I just don't think the friendship was meant to be"
"That BS and you know that actually,you guys get along so well"
"I know but we'd see what happens"

Our conversation took a long time and I'm done with Yas's hair and she's done with her makeup.

She looks like an absolute goddess. She ate the whole look. I get started on my makeup and do little gold and black theme since that's the theme of the party cause Yas is a sucker for those colors. I finish my makeup and Yas is all dressed. I AM SPEECHLESS!
She's wearing a gold gown and I don't even know what to say.

"Yas I think you look amazing is an understatement"
"Aww stop, I picked out a gown for you and your makeup is the bomb girlie"
She hand over a black gown to me. It's absolutely beautiful. I love black. I put on the dress and Yas's jaw almost falls to the floor.
"What you don't like it? It doesn't suit me right?"
"You are a queen Kie. Never forget that! You look astonishing"
"You really wanna make me cry Yas,Thank you. I love you"

I step into the bathroom to speak to Kobi.
"Hi Kobi"
"You're late kie"
"I know we're getting on the road right now"
"Okay everyone's here"
"On my way"

I step out of the bathroom and start packing out stuffs and secretly pack swim wears cause there's a pool after all.
"Hey Yas,let's go!"
"What's the rush? We don't even know where we're going"
"Into the car now! Cause I won't hesitate in leaving you"
"Aggressive much"
"She picks up her purse and we walk down the stairs. We get to the patio and see Yas's mom.
"Wow! You guys look so good I wanna cry"
"Oh come on mum,stop"
"Happy birthday my baby,I guysss my little girl is not so little anymore"
"Thank you mummy" Yas says as she hugs her mom.
" You look beautiful Kiera"
" Thank you Mrs Mira, I will see you at the party" I whisper and she smirks.
" I call shotgun" Yas yells
" well of course you're my passenger Princess" I reply " you know Yas it's not going to be easy to drive in these heels"
"Being pulled over is minor looking good is a big deal" she says

I park right in front of Kobi's house.
"Uhm Kiera did you miss your way cause we're right in front of Kobi's house or did we come to pick him up?
" I most definitely didn't miss my way"
Almost immediately the gates of Kobi's house fly open and everyone screams
"Happy 18th birthday Yasmin"!!!!!
Yas sobs uncontrollably. I try to comfort her by telling her she will ruin her make up and immediately she stops crying but she still has a shocked expression on her face and she gives I and Kobi a big hug.
"What's when did you guys plan all this? I was with you all day Kiera"
"Well we didn't start planning today and you deserve every single one of it"
"Thank you so much guys I love you so much" she says at the verge of tears.
We walk in and the place looks absolutely beautiful,there's food everywhere, there's cake,cupcakes,drinks... almost immediately I spot Mike. Yas nudges me.
"Okay okay I say"
I start walking over to Mike and see him standing with Trevor and James. Trevor and James get the hint immediately and walk away.
"Hello Mike"
"Hello Kiera"
"How are you doing? it's been a minute"
"I'm good and this is beautiful"
"Yeah don't act like you didn't know about it"
Well you and Kobi out did yourselves well done"
"Listen can we just end this beef that's going on between us because it's really messing with my  mental health and I don't want things to be this way"
He laughs. I feel dumb. Again.
"Kiera I do not have any beef going on with you,whatever you think it's in  your head and if you just want to be friends you could've said that a long time ago rather than giving off dirty attitude and walking around with it"
"Excuse me you do not have the rights to talk to me like that,I never give you any attitude, you are the antisocial person since you clearly love lying to me after I opened up to you"
"Who said I lied?Who told you that I kept the truth away from you? What did you want me to tell you?"
"Listen Mike I don't know what is going on with you but I wasn't a part of anything that happened in your life"
"That's it and you would never be"
"It's not fair Mike, it's not fair, do you really want to act like there wasn't a connection? Do you really want to act like you didn't feel safe and secure with me?"
"I don't know what's going on in that head of yours but I don't feel safe with anyone I only trust myself"
"Well have it your way. Goodbye this is a waste of time"

Mike's POV
  I look and see Kiera turning to walk away and I remember what James told me.
"Kier I call out to her
She turns and looks at me
"What do you want Mike?Do you want to rain more insults down on me?"
I hold her hand "Listen I'm sorry I kept things away from you but I have been betrayed before and I don't know what I felt but yes I did feel safe and secure with you and I became scared because the last time I did, that didn't end up well I'm sorry Kiera can we start afresh?"
"How hard was that tell me! And of course I would love to start afresh with you. My name is Kiera nice to meet you, What's yours?"
"Wait hold up I really hope you don't think I am not still going to be annoying and cold towards you? This just changes the fact that yes we are finally friends"
"I wouldn't have it any other way" she says
I want to give her a hug but I don't know if she's down for it.
"Why are you staring at me?" She asks
"Shut up" I sag and I give her a hug. I feel safe.
"Oh look who's training soft"
"Get away from me Kiera"

Back to Kiera's POV.
I look over at Yas and she's smiling. We dance and have lots of fun. I get tired really quickly and Mike offers to drop me home. Kobi offers to take Yas home. I know Kobi and I are going to have a conversation but honestly I'm not ready for it. I walk over to the car with Mike and I feel happier than ever....
