Monday morning.

I'm headed to school with Kobi.
"I feel really bad for Yas you know" I say
"I do too,but someone has to be strong for her,her dad blames her and her mom just keeps crying"he says
"Why would you blame the victim on sexual assault?,I'm sorry but that's bullshit" I reply
"I know I said the same thing,we'd see her after school" he assures
"Sure" I reply
We get to school and it's biology period. We're being put into pairs for our project,the short raggedy teacher is calling names.

"The last two pairs are Kobi and Lisa,and Kierra and Mike" he says
What the flamingo?
"Ma I think you mixed it up" I say standing up
"I know exactly what I did Kierra" oh shit,I can't even stand him. I look over to Kobi and he looks infuriated .
Suddenly Mike starts walking towards me. Like my day wasn't bad enough.
"Hey weirdo"
"That's not my name,it's Kierra"
"Hi munchkin"
"That's creepy and cheesy,I literally just told you my name"
"It's my mouth"
"I absolutely hate doing this with you"
"You have no choice or else you'd like to fail,and we have to meet up now"
"My house?"
"Sounds cool,so the park it is"
"Uhm I said my hou-"
"Gotta go munchkin"
What is his problem? Ugh this is going to be so disappointing!

"Kie what did he want"
Kobi says....why did he emphasize the 'he'
"You know we have to do the project so we were setting a location" I reply
"Already!? I mean it's due in two months"
"It's better to do it early Kobs"
"I don't trust him,he seems so sketchy"
"You have to chill okay,not everyone is a Joker to me"
"I couldn't even be more pissed about today,I and Lisa? Seriously?"
I tried my best to be supportive but ended up laughing like I had throat cancer or irritation
"What's funny now?"
"I'm sorry" I said laughing again
"Screw you,can we go now?"
"Sure"

We head into the car and get going to Yasmin's. Kobi keeps looking over at me.He's acting so weird.
"Why are you looking at me?"
"I'm not"
"Oh sure,it's creepy"
"The trees are beautiful today, I was looking at them"
I just roll my eyes. I receive a text. It's Mike.

"Hey weirdo,I assume you aren't that busy tonight. Meet me at the park,we have to talk about our project"

What do I do now? I don't want to go but I feel like seeing him. What's wrong with me?
"Kierraa!"
"Huh what's up?" I answer startled
"You kinda zoned out? What's up?"
"Nothing" I say ready to leave the car cause we've arrived but Kobi locks the doors.
"What the heck Kobi?"
"I know what's going on and I don't like him"
"You're hallucinating"
"Or am I?"
"He's sketchy Kie"
"Thank you for reminding me but you don't control me"
"As you please then"
He unlocks the doors and I head out.

Yasmin is laying on the couch watching spongebob. At her fossil age.
"Hey bestie"
"I heard noises,did you have an argument with Kobi?"
"That's not the reaction I needed"
"You don't always get what you want Kierra"
"I don't get why you guys are behaving so weird"
"Because we can see right through that Mike boy,he's sketchy"
"Says the girl that thought he was hot"
"Looks don't always sum up the whole conclusion,we don't have to be close to him to see his demons,even the closest might be blinded"
Kobi walks in.
"I can't believe I skipped school for this bullshit" I say and head out.
They're being so irrational. They don't control me,I say and order a taxi back to school.

Back in school. I walk into my class.
"Ms Camilo you're late"
"I'm not Camilo"
"Oh I made a mistake but you're still late to my class"
"Oh you sure make a lot of mistakes like your three marriages" I immediately hear gasps around
"Excuse me?"
I immediately run out of the class. It feels like my world is crumbling. What's happening?
