Jake growled, there was no other way to describe the sound that vibrated out of his chest and came out of his mouth. Why did she have to ask it? Why did he want to not answer it? It was bad for many reasons, and they both knew that. But like any moth to any fucking God damn flame, they kept coming back to this same damn spot. Over the course of the last six or so hours, they had been around and around this topic and were still no closer to a solution.
Maybe it was simple, maybe they just needed to fuck it out of their system? Except, something really pushed at it him that it went beyond that. He knew he wanted more, and he was most than certain she did too. But getting there, being open about that, that seemed to be a lot harder for both of them. He mentally sighed as he looked at her. Her eyes watched him as she waited for the answer and he just didn't know what to say in this situation right now.
"You can't ask that, Rachel."
"I can, and I did. What is your answer, Jake?" His hands moved of their own accord and ran down her sides. He knew he was fucked; he knew the rest of the night and into tomorrow, he was fucked. And if they could leave tomorrow, he had no clue how he was going to look his best friend in the eye but right now, he couldn't worry about that, wouldn't worry about that either. Because the only thing he could see and focus on was the woman before him and how badly he wanted her.
"I can't," but there was less conviction in his voice, and he knew he was losing it. He looked at her then looked her over and shook his head. "Rachel, you and I both know that this isn't wise, that we might end up hurting the one person that means so much to the both of us."
"Might, Jake, might. What if Jay doesn't find out?"
"You're talking about just now, nothing onward?" She let out a breath and moved her hands to run them over his arms.
"There can be no onward, and I can be okay with that, can you?" Could he? That was a serious question, and one he was scared of frankly. But he was just thinking the same thing. Focus on the here and now and forget about tomorrow.
"I can." She smirked and wrapped her hands around his neck.
"Then do what you want and kiss me." He didn't need any more encouragement and he blocked out the images of Jay and how upset he would be and crushed his lips to hers. After all, right now, that was the most important thing. Her, and nothing but her; her in his arms, her lips on his, yup, those were the most important issues right now.
She moaned against his lips and his tongue swept out, running over her lips before slipping inside and mixing with hers. He wasn't sure who her first kiss was, he couldn't remember, and didn't want to either, but he had always claimed that he wanted to be the only one she remembered. He never bothered to ask her if that was the case, maybe a little too afraid of her answer. He pulled back slightly, his teeth nipping at her bottom lip, and she arched upward even more against him and whimpered.
"Don't stop," she whispered, pulling him back for another mind-blowing kiss. His arms moved around her and lifted her up on the counter while her legs locked around his waist. He could feel the heat rising up between them again and though he didn't want to stop it, he didn't think sex on the kitchen counter of her parent's cabin was wise. Although, he would gladly take her there in his own house.
"I don't want to baby, but we can't keep kissing here," he told her as he broke away once more and kissed along her jaw and over her neck.
"Why not?" He chuckled and pulled back to look at her.
"Because we're in the kitchen and something tells me you wouldn't be too comfortable here on out if anything happened in here," he told her. She looked around and then shrugged.
"I wouldn't know till I tried," she countered, pulling him back but he resisted.
"You can have me anywhere else and at any time, but not in here."
"You suck," she grumbled and he lifted her up again, taking her to the living room.
"You have a queen-size bed in your room, a lot of living room space, and you want to get freaky in the damn kitchen?" he told her, sitting before the fire again.
"Have I told you that I hate how logical you can be sometimes?" He shrugged as he leaned against the couch and had her in between his legs.
"Sure, but that still doesn't mean I'm wrong." He knew she rolled her eyes and he smiled to himself.
"So, what are we going to do here?" Both of them were gazing at the fire and his hands kept running over her arms and then down to her hands, lacing their fingers.
"We could cuddle, we could make out, we can dim this fire and head to your room," he whispered as his lips brushed along her ear. She shivered in his arms, and he smirked. He loved knowing enough about her to know what could set her off and what could turn her on.
"You are one dangerous man, Jake," she told him, tilting her head slightly. Yeah, sure, he could agree with that on a few levels, and it didn't bother him. In fact, he might say it egged him on even more and he nipped at her ear again.
"Yup, I am. However, you don't have a point so please don't try to make one." He grinned as she moaned, her hands squeezing his legs slightly as he moved down the side of her neck. He tried recalling from their past times if he had ever been able to just tease her, and for the life of him, he couldn't recall. Not that their first time was straight at it. They had made out, had learned a couple of things, but it sure wasn't like this.
"You're thinking," she whispered as her head tilted a little more, allowing him more access to that neck he was enjoying. Or maybe it was the sounds that were coming from low in her throat he was enjoying so much.
"I'm not thinking, exactly, I'm recalling." He pushed her hair aside and then traveled to the spot where her shoulder met her neck and nipped, causing her to gasp.
"Recalling what?" Her voice was breathless, and he couldn't help but smile.
"We've never got to do this." This time, his nip had a little more bit to it and he tugged on her skin. He was so lost in his exploration and feelings that he really didn't give two shits if she woke up tomorrow with all kinds of marks. In fact, he wanted to mark her up, wanted to know that she had to cover it up in some way. There was a primal urge to do that, and hell if he could fight it for long.
"Got to do what?" Again, her voice was breathless, and he would have loved for someone to explain to him why that alone made him harder. Was it because he was doing it and that sound ricocheted through his body?
"Explore, play, find the pleasure in everything." Her hands ran along his legs, and he could feel her own thoughts coming off her in waves. She wanted to do the same thing, she wanted to play, to explore, and fuck if he didn't want it to.
"You're thinking now we can?" she questioned, her voice hitching up a note as he sucked even harder on the spot. "Oh fuck," she moaned, and he knew he had her. Not that he didn't have her before, but now, now that all caution was being flung out the window and they were only given this moment, this night, he was going to take it. And he was going to make sure she took it and didn't bother to look back. What came tomorrow would come and they couldn't stop it. But they had now, and he was going to make sure that if he was denied forever with her, regardless of if he was still uncertain if he wanted it, he would have at least the outstanding memories. And he was going to make sure they had that.
"Baby," he whispered as he finally released the spot and ran his tongue over it, smirking as he could see the love bite start to form, "we have all night, possibly all day, we've already said we're going to do this, might as well do it right. I'm going to make sure all your memories are filled with loving done in ways you never thought possible. And everything I've screwed up in the past will be made right now." She whimpered before she turned around and looked at him.
"I like the way you think, Jake. I'm all up for learning." With that, she threw her arms around him and kissed him deeply.
