"Rachel, wait." She ignored the cries as she went back outside, wiping her eyes and scoffing at her silly tears. How dumb could someone be? She went shopping with Tiffany for a dress that Jake would love on her, she went way over her budget to make him smile, and what did she see when she walked in? Some girl hanging all over him! "Rachel!"

"Why, Jake? So, you can keep on breaking my heart?" She paused to stare at him when she should have kept going; she wasn't far from her car and all she wanted to do was leave. But he quickly grabbed her arm and shook his head.

"What you saw isn't what you think, you need to know that!"

"That some woman wasn't just trying to climb all over to get you in her bed?" His lips twitched and he shrugged at her answer.

"Okay, it's what you saw. But," he told her, holding up his hand to stop her next flow of words, "it's not what I wanted. The only woman I have wanted to talk to all night to has been you." She shouldn't have caved, she knew that, but when he pulled her into his arms, she went willingly. "I need to talk to Jay," he whispered, brushing his lips over the top of her head. "I can't stay away from you, Rachel."

She couldn't either, and she just about blurted everything out the night Jay walked in and saw her crying. She had tried to stay strong, tried to fight all these feelings, and she was tired of fighting. When Jake texted her, she just wanted to give in. She couldn't go without him, even at the cost of their friendship and her relationship with her brother.

"I can't either, Jake. This has been too hard." She lifted her head and looked at him. He grinned at her before leaning down to kiss her softly. A sigh escaped from her lips, and she held onto his shirt even tighter.

"How about we talk to him later? Or now?" Jake whispered, his hands running along her back. She nodded. It was time, hell it was way past time, they both know they needed to man up over it.

"He's going to kill us," she told him quietly.

"Then I guess we die happy and together rather than miserable and alone, right?" She smiled and he cupped the back of her head, angling her so he could capture her lips and she let him. He had control over everything she was doing and was giving, and she was okay with that. Her hands slide up his back, clutching tightly to his shirt, praying that this never ended.

"What the fuck am I missing here?" Well, that it at least didn't end on that note. They broke the kiss and Jake turned around to look at Jay, who was clearly pissed off and glaring between the two. "You fucking kissed my sister? And Rachel, you took it as if nothing?" Jake opened his mouth to start talking but Rachel placed her hand on his stomach, stopping him.

"I got it, he's my brother." She faced Jay and smiled at him.

"You want me happy, right Jay?"

"Duh, Rachel."

"Jake makes me happy," she told him.

"How the fuck is that possible when all you two are doing is fighting?!" Rachel glanced over at Jake and shrugged slightly.

"Because that fighting was always to cover up our feelings." Her fingers entangled with Jake's, and she smiled again. "At first, we really didn't get along, but a night in college woke us up to our true feelings. And after that, it was a matter of keeping them at bay and doing what was right so that you didn't feel like we were betraying you." Jay crossed his arms, his gaze still bouncing between the two.

"No, no, no...Jake, you promised me! Do you know why I had you make that promise in the first place?"

"Well, because..." But Jake didn't get to finish because Jay cut him off.
