Lil Murda went to sleep right after eating his first deep dish pizza last night. He and Woddy hit up Lou Malnati's and got the classic with two Cokes.
They sat and watched TV until Murda felt like it was time for him to hit the sheets which was at about nine that night.
Early for him but was necessary because of the jetlag.
Without the assistance of an alarm clock, he woke up right at five.
He rubbed his eyes and got up to go to the bathroom. Once he was finished, he went to his closet using the light from the bathroom to get out his clothes for the day. It was going to be a another fairly cool day so he chose a classic Adidas outfit to accommodate the day with shoes to match.
Even after getting fresh and clean within forty minutes, he was still on edge. He thought the hot water would calm him but it only went so far.
He also thought he could just lay back in bed for a moment but he couldn't. His interview was at eight yet here it was almost six in the morning. He could just barely stop pacing the floor. He even chuckled at the thought of the people below him not being able to sleep because of his walking.
While he was pacing back and forth, Woddy knocks on the door.
Murda opens the door, "What took you so long?"
"My dude....I just got up. I came by to wake you up."
"Well...I beat you to it. Go ahead and get ready so we can go." Woddy shook his head and left.
Lil Murda went ahead and ordered breakfast while Woddy got hisself together. He ate enough to quiet is stomach and clear his head. The rest he left for Woddy. He decided to roll a blunt as the time came closer for him to go to the radio station. He wasn't told about any restrictions on smoking so he felt as along he was in his room he was cool.
Woddy came to the door knocking, letting him know that it was time to go. He quickly put the blunt out and went out the door.
Woddy told him, "You look dope, bro. Like the 21st century Run DMC."
"You know me. Only the best will do," he said with smile as they walked towards the elevators.
"So, you want go over any of the questions you think that they may ask you?"
"What you think they are gon' ask me?"
"You know the usual questions. How did you get started? Where are you originally from? How long have you been doing this? "
Murda shook his head. "I can answer them. That ain't no problem."
"What if they ask you about having a girlfriend? What is going to be your answer?"
"None of your business."
"Really? So you gon' be a jerk right out the gate?"
"Yep. I need my private life to stay private."
"Okay but bust it. Let's say it's a fan that asks, right? You might want to say is 'Thank you for asking but I like to keep certain things that I cherish the most for myself.'"
Murda thought about it and said with a smirk on his face, "Okay. I guess I can be nice."
"You guess?" said Woddy.
"I guess," he replied. They finally reached the elevator and went downstairs to where the rental was waiting.
From the hotel to the radio station, it took about twenty minutes. Lil Murda sat in the passenger seat, trying his best not show that he was nervous. Woddy just told him, "Calm down. Everything was going to be alright. You gon' fly through this interview like a breeze." He dapped him up and they both hopped out when the arrived to the studio.
