She kept repeating these words which literally were in total contrast to her feelings for him, while he smiled contently, holding her close to his heart as if she was everything he ever wished for.

For god knows how much time, they stayed in the same position, in each other's arms like there is no tomorrow. Slowly, she felt that his hold was loosening. Neil knew that she was tired due to the extreme emotional exhaustion. She was almost slumping down and needed rest. So, he reluctantly broke the hug, held her hand and guided her to the bed.
Neil: You should rest.
Mini: Sit here.
Neil: Mini...
Mini: Please Neil!!
He gave an assuring blink to her and settled himself besides her. Again, for a few minutes, they were silent, absolutely silent. He knew she wanted to take it off her chest, and he himself wanted to know everything that had happened before he met her that day...
Neil: I'm listening..
She looked into his eyes and was reassured that the only person in the whole world, who can help her get rid of this, was him.
Mini: I was in first year of my graduation. I had this in my mind that my purpose is totally different from what I was doing back then, and then that day came... (She took a breath and continued after a second's pause).. We all were doing a small get together in that mall, since I had very limited friends.
Neil: So the party was on you?
Mini: Ofcourse, It was my 18th afterall!!
She gave a sarcastic smile, while his heart broke at the very fact that maturity hit her exactly on that day, and in such a haunting way.
Mini: We had fun!! Since we all were freshers, and exams were near, we were nervous about it, so my friends left early...
Major flashback
Preet: Yaar exams aa rahe hain. I think we should leave now. We need to prepare.
Bobby: Oye Preet, tu zyada tension na liya kar. College mein kaun padta hai?
Preet: Tu chup reh Bobby. Tujhe kya pata? Mini!! Let's go.
Mini: Haan let's... (Read something on the phone) Wait wait wait! Exam ki notification aayi hai.

They did a group hug and all of them left except Mini. She sat there for some more time, reading the syllabus and making an immediate yet appropriate plan for her preparation. She was just so enthusiastic about it. She knew it was the path that will lead her to her ultimate purpose in life.
All the while, she didn't notice that there were 3 pair of eyes, looking at her in a way as if waiting to pounce on her, any moment. As soon as she completed her work, which took almost half an hour, she left the food court and started moving towards the stairs. Amidst the way, she felt as if someone is following her, she turned to check but found none. She again started walking, and yet again heard the footsteps. She turned and found 3 boys walking, looking into their phones. They seemed normal at the first glance. So she didn't pay much heed to them. She reached the staircase and looked around. It appeared a bit shady and no one was there except her. She totally disliked it but started descending anyway, all the while booking a cab in her phone. She again heard the footsteps and from the shadow forming in the front, she understood that they were those 3 boys. That made her sure that something was definitely wrong. She got anxious, and immediately decided to take the lift, as it was not in the aloof side of the mall. She rushed towards it but could still feel their presence around. As she reached near the lift, she noticed that it was at the top floor. Cursing under the breath, she waited for about 40 seconds for it to come down and as it came, she entered the lift. She was about to pushed the door close button but before that, one of them had already entered and hence, he stopped the door to get closed. The other two also came inside, and the door closed. Mini looked properly at them. They were almost of her age, probably 1 or 2 years older than her. She noticed the look they had on their faces.. that was certainly not normal.. they had that smile... Which was not soothing.. which was evil .. and only one thing in their eyes... Pure lust.
She startled as her phone rang, pulling her out of the thoughts..
The cab driver was calling. She picked it up but couldn't hear his voice. The lift meanwhile, was about to reach the ground floor when one of them switched off the button, which made it land in the basement.
