Dear diary,

It's just Monday and I'm already looking forward to Saturday; the day was definitely stressful, really stressful.

We're already half way through the school's academic session and to be honest it hasn't been easy but I'm glad I'm still going strong.

What happened 2weeks back, the incident between Lam and I is definitely something I haven't forgotten. I'm certainly not sure if we're friends now after that one day lockdown ordeal but I could say we have been off to a good start. The distance and cold shoulders doesn't seem to be like that of before.

I still remember his body language on the day I returned his handkerchief back to him. I think it was just a week after we resumed back to class. Things felt definitely awkward since it was during our lunch break I approached him. He didn't give the cold body language, his usual thing, he even went a step further to engage in a little conversation with me.

His attention was fixed to this book he was reading. 'Diary of a wimpy kid' was the book's tittle.

"Hi?" I said after making my way to where he was.

He sat at the playground area enjoying the comfort of his book in an entirely noisy zone. I honestly couldn't sell myself to reading here where they were too many noisy kids running round. He sat on one of the swing.

"Hi." He said in response.

"What's up?" He adds with his sore throat.

Just before I hand over his handkerchief, I had something for him.

"Wait!" I said as I take a Mentos candy from my bag pack I brought it along with me. I couldn't leave it there, if I did Esther will definitely be tempted to meddle with it.

"For?" I take his book and place it on my lap and then took his hand and placed the Mentos candy in his palm.

"It's for your cranky throat!" I smile.

"Ehmm? Okay?" I'll just let him take his time in digesting the awkward moment.

"Thanks." He says as he puts it in his pocket.

"Welcome!"

"Was that all?"

" Yeah." I totally forgot my reason for actually being here.

"My book!" He says pointing to his book.

" Oh, yes." I handed over his Diary of a wimpy kid.

"Before I forget." I brought out the handkerchief from my bag and reached out my hand to hand it over. It seemed like he didn't want to take it.

"Don't worry I washed it." I don't return peoples stuff without washing them first.

"Okay?" He was still having the awkward feeling.

"Just take it!" My hands were getting tired so I pulled his hand and dropped it in his palm.

He gives the awkward stares. He sniffs it, not sure why.

"Why does it smell like you?" An awkward and very stupid question to ask.

"Because it was at my house and I was with it!" Now I was the one having the awkward feelings.
