Finally it was the most relaxing day of the week. No classes, no homework and no getting up from bed early in a hast to get dressed in a uniform. It was Sunday.

Normally, my alarm clock would ring so loud that even if I was caught in the middle of something really important in my dream I'd be force to wake up. But not today, it did not ring.

For sure I knew something was wrong with it. The batteries were probably dead or it was broken. It had to be one amongst the two.

I felt so lazy to get up from bed, eyes still shut, wallowing in my wild imaginations. My soft cozy pillow and bed still kept me glued to the comfort it offered.

What was a normal Sunday for me like?

Well, it was a usual weekend for me just as it was with everybody else.

I'd wake up not too early but early enough to get out of bed. I definitely was a sleeper but I was already too use to getting out of bed early. And besides I had to prepare for church.

The day would start with me journalling somewhere around the corner. I'd start with how the week was, what happened within the week and all of that, it was just me starting the day with this sense of reflection towards whatever happened prior to this day.

For my Saturday, unlike Sunday, I was pretty much busy with school work and all the rest.

The activities that followed after journalling were brushing my teeth, taking a warm bath, fixing my hair and then deciding an outfit for church service.

The bathroom was the only place I could just let life sink in, taking deep thoughts of how the day ahead was gonna be. I often just let myself sink into the warm water of the bathtub. Few minutes of being partially submerged under water really helps clears the head. The relax feels the whole process gave felt like something else.

After the cozy bath, getting dried, the next thing was getting all dressed up. I wasn't the most stylish person on earth, just simple clothes for me did the job, I was a simple person.

After all of this, joining the rest of the family for breakfast was the next other of business.

Next thing on the schedule was church.

(*・~・*)

Crowd cheering, dancing, drums, wild loud chants and fantastic music, that's how the service started.

Everybody had their thing they like and didn't, it was either the dancing or singing, mine wasn't just the dancing. Everything about shaking my body made me very much uncomfortable.

What I did like was the music, they was something even I myself found intriguing about it. They was this aura of spirituality when the choir sang.

I think one of the best part of everything was the choir, not entirely the best but well they sure had their way of bringing heaven to earth.

Church service was faster than usual, mom and dad Steve had to see the preacher for marriage counseling. Marcus and I had to wait for them to finish with what ever they were doing.

Marcus wondered off to have fun with the other kids from church, I didn't have much friends here, well aside from Simisola and the elderly folks around, not much people to call friends.

I sat, enjoying the comfort of my headphone, Simisola came up to me. She just wanted to do our usual girls talk.

What can I say about Simisola? Well she's just that dark skin beauty with dark brown eyes, a melodious voice and nicely braided black short curly braids.
