-《》-
What a fateful storm,
Leaving behind a sweltering earth
And a capsized house.
I think I knew all along,
That were built to fall apart
So I'll take with me the drenched, dilapidated alter
To build a new shrine,
A new hearth,
Of warm, bright summers
And fragrant honeysuckles' humble mirth.
Perhaps the petrichor of closure
Was never in our life's mural.
And I danced in the silence of ominous hope
Before the melodies of my dream
Broke with the elegies for my heart.
What a fateful storm,
Clearing away the confused clouds,
Giving way to the break of dawn.
