When they got home that evening, Nick and Charlie fell into their nighttime routine. Charlie changed into one of Nick's jumpers and w pair of sweatpants, while Nick stripped down to his boxers, made a small pot of chamomile tea, and fetched a bag of crisps to share with Charlie. He prepared two cups of tea to his and Charlie's preferences, then reconvened with him on their couch to watch an episode of a show they both enjoyed. They had watched this particular program about 300 times, but it was still their favorite to end the day to.

Placing the teacups on the coffee table, Nick saw what Charlie was wearing and burst out into laughter. Tonight, Charlie had chosen a jumper that Nick'd ordered online. It was supposed to be a comfortable large, but it showed up as a 5XL. It draped over Nick like a gown, so Charlie looked like a 3-year-old in his father's clothes.

"Are you laughing at me?" Charlie wondered, feigning offence.

"Not at all," Nick chortled as he leaned in to kiss his fiancé. "You look unbelievably adorable. Why do you always look so cozy and cuddly?"

"Maybe I'm trying to tempt you," Charlie joked before putting on a Darth Vader voice. "Nick," he said before imitating a token filtered breath, "join me. Come to the cuddly side. It is your destiny."

With a side smirk, Nick shrugged his shoulders. "If you insist," he said before he tackled his lover onto the couch.

Charlie giggled gleefully as Nick tickled his slender abdomen.

With ease, Nick dove under the jumper, popping his head through the collar next to Charlie's face. Because Charlie was so tiny, they both fit comfortably in the same sweatshirt. Nick picked Charlie up, gently lay him onto his back on the couch, and cuddled up on top of him, his arms wrapped around Charlie in a hug beneath the fabric.

"I hope you don't plan on moving anymore," Nick sighed blissfully as he nuzzled his face into Charlie's neck. "I live here now."

Beaming with joy, Charlie stroked Nick's dark blonde hair. "Using the loo could prove problematic."

"Fine," Nick grumbled. "We'll separate for loo breaks. But that's it."

"What about our jobs?"

"Shh," Nick hushed, gently placing his hand over Charlie's mouth. "No work. Just cuddles."

As Nick pulled his hand away, Charlie tilted his head and kissed Nick's lips. "I'm in."

Nick held Charlie's cheek as they kissed passionately, their tongues hungry for one another.

It felt like Nick was in a good place in his life. Work was good. Therapy was going well. His relationship with both of his parents was in healthy condition. He was engaged to his all-time favorite person. For Nick Nelson, life was good and it only stood to get better.

"I love you more than anything," Nick told him.

"Ditto," Charlie teased. "I love you, too."

Nick chewed his lip before he spoke his mind. "I was thinking. Just doing all of this wedding planning with Tara and Darcy, it's really got me thinking about our day."

Charlie seemed hesitant.

"I know we said we'd start planning after they're wedding, but I can't help thinking maybe we should be planning, too. We haven't even picked a year, let alone set a date," Nick said, unloading the thoughts that had been swirling around his mind.

Charlie nodded his head. "It's something to think about," he said before he slipped himself from beneath Nick's body and out of the jumper they were sharing.

Confused and alone in the oversized sweater, Nick watched Charlie pull away to the opposite side of the couch, ignoring Nick as he started their show.
