Sadie's POV -

-

Sadie didn't know if she had the guts to go on searching for the one girl she loved.

She hadn't been able to find her all day, regardless of asking others if they knew where the blonde had disappeared off to.

When she finally trudged back into her house, it was 11:00 at night, and pitch black. Stars were thrown against the night sky, but she didn't pause to take in the beauty of it.

Sadie barely even realized her mother had returned home, and only realized when her little sister Jacey tapped her on her shoulder.

"Sadie? Can you help me get to the cookies? They're up on that shelf."

The older redhead moved her blue colored eyes up as she located the shelf in the kitchen after being half startled to death. A jar of simple chocolate chip cookies were sitting there.

"Why?!" The word was spoken harsher than she meant.

Her sister leaped back like she had slapped her across the face, her already pale face becoming even paler in the process.

"You were the only one within hearing distance." was what the smaller one of the two mumbled in response, her voice barely audible.

Sadie pushed past, making her way up the stairs, careful to avoid her other family members as she did so.

She was not in the mood for anything right now.

Running into her room, she plopped onto her bed, and stayed there, silently crying into her sheets, not really registering the fact that Millie was no longer there.

Maybe she was losing her mind.
