CHAPTER SEVEN:
House of Dares
└─── ஓ๑♡๑ஓ ───┘

Lyla decided to skip supper, not wanting to be around anyone in her house any more than she had to. So after waiting in her room for about an hour after Trudy had called them all down, she finally left her bed and went to grab some food, figuring everyone was done eating by now.

As she opened the door to the girls corridor, she found Nina, Patricia, Jerome and Alfie standing there, staring at Victor's office. At the sound of the door they all turned around seeing Lyla; who glared at each of them. She didn't say anything, she just pushed past them and stomped down the stairs; which alerted Victor.

"What are you lot looking at?" The man called out as he left his office, and the four teenagers scrambled to look elsewhere. Lyla shook her head completely annoyed with them; not so much Nina, she knew the girl was just trying to fit in.

She walked into the kitchen finding Mara doing the dishes, and Amber sitting on the couch ignoring her calls to help. Lyla just ignored them, grabbing her bag of crisps from the cupboard, and taking off the note she put on it that said 'Lyla's. Don't eat, or you die'. Alfie walked past her going into the storage room followed by Victor; presumably grabbing the cleaning supplies, as she had heard Victor suggest the boy clean the stairs. He tried giving her a smile but she just continued to glare at him.

"Amber! I realize you're incredibly busy, but we're both on chores not just me!" Mara called to the blonde girl sitting on the couch. Lyla hopped up onto the island behind the girl, who then turned to her, "I don't suppose you'll help?" She tried, but the pink haired girl just deadpanned and shoved a crisp in her mouth. "Amber!" Mara called again, finally getting her attention.

"Ugh, I hate chores." She complained, while taking her earbuds out, "Washing up makes my fingertips go all wrinkly." Amber stood up and walked over.

"I know! If only there was some sort of glove, made of rubber, that could protect your hands from water!" Mara handed Amber a pair of rubber gloves, from beside her, but when the girl went to grab them she saw something on Mara's wrist.

"Where did you get that?" Amber asked with a glare, Lyla paused her eating and listened in. "Why?" Mara said in a low voice.

"Because, my boyfriend gave me the exact same one, that's why!" Amber explained then dropped the girls arm, stomping out of the kitchen. Lyla gave Mara a look, "You are so dead."

Victor and Alfie left the kitchen at the same time, the latter carrying a handful of cleaning supplies. The two merged paths, bumping into each other, and Alfie dropped everything, causing Amber to scream, "Ow, Alfie!"
