Lyla had fallen asleep on Jerome's shoulder, she knew her head had landed there when she went to lay her head down, but she was way to tired to move it, so she just left it there and went straight to sleep, since his shoulder was strangely comfortable to lay on.However, the bliss the two were in was ruined as Lyla was abruptly woken up to the door opening, she had jumped up from her spot in horror, sitting straight up, and watched as Alfie came stomping in the room wearing a suit. She furrowed her brows at the sight, he looked upset, like he had just gotten rejected.
Lyla didn't catch the glare that Jerome sent the boy's way, "What's wrong, Alfie?" She asked, startling the boy as he hadn't expected her to be there; on Jerome's bed, of all places.
"I left Amber a note in sweets, asking her on a date, but she thought Mick had left it. She pushed me out the room!" Alfie said, as he sat on his bed and put his head down in his hands. Jerome giggled like a maniac, but stopped once Lyla sent him a harsh glare.
The girl got up and sat next to Alfie, "That was you?" She asked, "Of course it was me, I even sighed my name."
She gave him a wary look, "...Alfie, I saw the note myself, Amber showed me, there was no name. She assumed it was Mick, are you sure you signed it?"
"Really?" He looked at her, confused, "Yes I did, I put an A at the end." He looked away and shook his head. Lyla sighed and stood up, "Stand." She demanded the boy, and he immediately obeyed.
She took a deep breath, "Okay, I'm going to do something..." She started, before turning to look over at Jerome, "and you better not take the piss out of me for it." She warned, then turned back to Alfie with outstretched arms, pulling him in for a hug.
Alfie welcomed the warm embrace, wrapping his arms around his best friend, Lyla was never one for hugs, she mostly hated physical touch, so this was probably the first time they had ever hugged each other, and likely the last.
"That will be the last time we ever do that so, savor it... I guess." She told the boy as they pulled away, Alfie just smiled at her, he was so grateful to have her in his life.
"Don't I get one?" Jerome piped up, smirking at the two, Lyla only smiled and looked back at him saying, "Ha, funny."
Alfie looked at her surprised, "Wow, no sarcastic quip? No glare? Who are you and what have you done with Lyla Harris." He shook her shoulders, she reached up and pulled them off her.
