"So, let me get this straight... When you and Jerome get into an argument, you want me to agree with you, even if I believe you are in the wrong?" Alfie reiterated, as they walked out of class.

"Yep." Lyla nodded, simply.

The boy shook his head, "But, you guys get into an argument practically once every minute."

"That's the point. And you can't tell him, no matter what." Lyla said, pointing her finger in his face.

"Ugh, for how long again?" Alfie groaned.

"A month." She told him, making him stop walking, "That's so long!"

"Fine, four weeks." She tried, knowing full well they were the same amount of time.

"That is a month!" He retorted.

"Okay, okay... three, but that's as low as I'm going." Lyla insisted.

"This is going to be torture." Alfie complained, but it was interrupted as a voice came up from behind them.

"What's torture?" Jerome asked, Lyla looked back at him and simply stated, "You speaking."

"Isn't that right, Alfie?" She smirked at the boy, whose eyes widened in realization that he couldn't disagree with her. "Yeah, unbearable, even." He said, making Jerome narrow his eyes and Lyla laugh.

"Well, bye then." Lyla said, before leaving the two and going off to meet Nina at her locker.

"So... How's that going?" Alfie asked Jerome.

"How's what going?" He retorted.

"You and Lyla, duh." Alfie said.

"It's not... We wouldn't even be good together anyway, she hates me, and frankly I hate her, too." Jerome denied this, though the way he was looking at the girl said otherwise.

"Okay, buddy, whatever you say." Alfie said, as the two walked away.

"Hey, I'm going to see Sarah." Nina said, as Lyla approached her.

"Oh, okay." The girl nodded.

"I think... You should come with me." The American girl suggested.
