Lyla woke up the next morning, in an uncomfortable position, apparently she fell asleep during the movie; even though she didn't remember doing so, and her head had landed on Jerome. She assumed he had been asleep as well, because why else wouldn't he move her. The girl looked around the room finding Alfie asleep on his bed, she rolled her eyes.
The girl carefully got up, making sure she didn't wake either of them up and tiptoed out of the room, once she closed the door behind her she let out a breath of relief placing her hand on her chest, but then felt something that wasn't usually there.
Looking down the girl found the chain Jerome gave her with her mother's ring hung on it, making her smile as she twirled it around her fingers. The girl then made her way up the stairs and to her room to get ready, already in one of her rare good moods, for reasons that were unbeknownst to her.
Once she was ready, she walked downstairs, and entered the sitting room finding Fabian and Nina. "Hi!" She greeted them happily, making them give her strange look before greeting her back.
Smiling even brighter the girl walked over to her seat at the table and poured herself a bowl of cereal. "Hi, guys!" She greeted the table, which was seated with almost everyone in the house.
"Someone's unusually happy this morning." Mick pointed out, giving her a look, but smiling nonetheless.
Lyla only shrugged, "I guess so." She said before glancing at Jerome who wasn't in his usual spot. The girl gave him a once in a lifetime smile, which he returned, once she looked away he smiled even bigger, which didn't go unnoticed by Amber and Alfie.
Amber started talking about her family vacation that she talked about with her father, but it was rudely interrupted when Patricia stomped in and dumped the pitcher of water over her head, making everyone gasp, "I asked you to keep a secret!" Lyla immediately stood up with a scowl on her face and stalked up to her, as both Fabian and Nina ran in from the sofas.
"She's known me since we were eleven, but now she's siding with someone who's only been here two minutes!" Patricia yelled, as Mara came running in, "Patricia!" She scolded her, "What's going on?"
"Betrayal, that's what." Trixie informed, right as Lyla stepped in her face.
"Step back, unless you want me to hit you again, cause I'll gladly do it." Lyla warned, earning a glare from Trixie.
"Don't go through people's private things here, it's like an unwritten rule!" Amber defended, uncomfortable from all the water dripping down her face.
