Lyla Harris had been going to Boarding School since she was 11, specifically right after her mother had died. Her father shipped her off, abandoning her, even when she was home on holiday; talking was a rare occurrence, as he was always at work or locked up in his study. So she usually spent most of her time at the neighbors house, which happened to be the home of one of her best friends; Alfie Lewis. The two had been friends since they were born because their mothers were friends. Her whole life she'd been trying to win her father's approval, and no matter how hard she tried, she was never good enough, and she didn't know why. Anubis House soon grew into more of a home for her than her actual one; she made friends, family, even some enemies, and though she'd never admit it, she loved it.
