MATILDA! CHAPTER NINE:
WHO KNEW DRONE STEALING
MADE YOU SO HUNGRY?

"Pope we're not stealing the drone. We're borrowing it." John B explained as they drove down the road

"Humans are the only animal that can't tell fantasy from reality." Pope said

"Did you come up with that?" John B aksed

"Albert Bernstein came up with it" Pope stated "but it applies to this whole treasure-hunting thing." Poe explained

"Oh.

"So, which is it? Fantasy or reality?" Pope asked

"Why are you so weird, Pope?"

"It's fantasy, but possible reality." Kie said

"Reality."

"Virtual reality." JJ said going to light a blunt before Pope grabbed it out of his hand

"Keep the signal clear."

"You know what your problem is?"

"You?"

Kie and Liz got out of the car, for their plan to take the boat with a camera

"No! It's that you need to relax, man. You're always so tense!"

"I'm not"

"Hey, don't worry. You guys got this." John B said as he leaned out the window a bit

"It's not us that I'm worried about." Liz looked to the back of the car where JJ and Pope were still arguing

"Got it."

The girls walked up to the gate where a security guard sat, not even paying attention to what's going on around him

"Hello? Excuse me?" Kie waved her hand to her the mans attention

"Can I help you?" The guard came out

"Hi! Um, we actually have a flat tire. I was wondering if maybe you could help me out?" Liz smiled at the man

"Yeah." He said reluctantly

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

"It's too easy." Kie muttered to Liz

"Like bate to a shark" Liz smiled

"It's just this back one right here. I mean, it must've been a slow leak or something." Kie explained

"Been sitting in the yard too long?"

"Yeah." Kie said

"Yeah, I-- I got this." He bent down to the tire

"Thank you."

not long after a dog started barking in the distance
"Do you hear that?"

"Hear what?" Kie asked

"Oh, Tebow's got somethin"

"It's probably just a raccoon, You know?" Liz said

"Nothin' to worry about."

"Yeah." The guy went back down to fill more air

Kie slipped away to the other side of the car, Liz followed and took off the plug, slowly emptying air as quietly as possible

"What are you doing?" The man asked

"This one looks a little low too." Liz said getting up, the man heard more barking and ran towards it

"Wait! Wait!"

"Shit."

after successfully getting the drone they drove to Kies parents restaurant. The Wreck.
"Stealing drones makes you hungry." Kie said

"What I would do to a beer and shrimp and grits right now."

"It would not be pretty."

"Hey, Dad."

"Hey."

"How'd we do?"

"Didn't turn it over once." They passed Kie and her dad, hoping she could persuade her dad to give them food

"So hungry." John B said

"Right"

Kie looked over to them and her dad did too, so John b, JJ and Pope waved awkwardly. Liz on the other hand, waved with a big smile. Liz was the only one Kiaras parents liked. because she was actually helpful and because of her mother.

"Sit down" Kie said

"Oh!"

"Oh, yes!" They all sat down at the table as Kies dad brought out fries and stuff. JJ was throwing fries up in the air to catch them— only half actually getting to his mouth.

"Oh my god you suck at that" Liz said, laughing

"Oh, we'll if your so good let's see you do it than" JJ told her and she raised an eyebrow

"Challenge accepted" Liz smiled, grabbing one of the fries. She threw it up into the air and watch it come down and she moved her head to catch the dry. She looked to JJ with the fry hanging out of her mouth smirking. JJ threw his head back in annoyance before the song 'it's never enough' turned on the radio and Kie turned it up, before motioning for John B to come over to her. John B stood up reluctantly and two started to dance.

Liz laughed as she stood up and went around to JJ, pulling him out of his seat and he gladly did. They went to the left of John B and Kie, stating to dance together. JJ smirked as he twirled Liz and her giggles filled the air. JJs hands rested on Cassies waist as they danced around to the music having the time of their lives.
