"Lloyd! You're back! What'd you figure out?" Cole asked brashly before he could even take in the fact that the green ninja looked absolutely mortified.

Lloyd looked tired out of his mind... well... Lloyd always looked tired out of his mind but more so than usual.

"Um I uh figured out what the competition is." He smiled shakily.

Nya came over and lightly gripped his shoulders dragging over a stool for him to sit on.

"It's a rhythm game, like dance revolution or guitar hero except if Jay wins he- he kills you. W-with his guitar thing." Nya and Cole side eyes each other and cringed.

"And if he loses?" Kai asked carefully.

"Dunno. The girl on stage didn't make it that far." He replied sullenly and everyone took a moment to let that sink in.

"Well then, that leaves us to our decision. Who's going up there aside from me?" Cole clapped.

"Lloyd and Nya you both have good rhythm but Lloyd's music taste is a lot different from Jay's."

"Uh guys?"

"Nya'd be good for this but you hate video games"

"Well I actually went out with Jay to play DDR a lot. It's really like the one game I can play."

"Guys."

"That's perfect then! But then it's either Lloyd or Kai..."

"Lloyd may have a decent set of rhythm but that's a lot of noise not to mention the crowd that'll be screaming."

"Right. But then what about Kai I don't think I know anybody with less rhythm than him."

"I think I'll be able to handle a little noise if it means saving Jay." Lloyd cut in.

"Guys. seriously."

"That may be true Lloyd but it could still throw you off rhythm."

"Not to mention all the songs you listen to are a lot more extreme than what Jay will probably have for options."

"Guys!"

"But then what do we do? Cole you're like the only one who actually knows what songs Jay likes!"

"Well I actually knew the one he used in the demonstration he did. It looked like you could choose your options. Maybe I could find a song that I do know and play that!"

"Maybe but I'm still not sure about all the hearing sensitivity issues."

"What other choice do we have!"

"GUYS!"

Three heads all whipped around to look at the long forgotten Kai standing off to the side. He was avoiding eye contact and his face was bright bright red.

They all sent different inquisitive looks over at Kai who grimaced widely and dragged a hand down his face.

"Ugggggh I think maybe I should compete" he groaned.

"Uh Kai I hate to break this to you but the songs are going to be Jay's favorite songs I dunno if-"

"I probably know like half of the songs Jay listens to... By heart." Kai growled out begrudgingly.

Everyone just stared and blinked at him.

"Augh! Look, okay? A while back we found out that we both like this one band and decided to go to a concert and ever since then we've been swapping songs since apparently we have like the exact same taste."
