The heart | Chapter 7

*SMALL TIME SKIP*
It was now about an hour later once again, and Mike still didn't find Will anywhere in the forest. Will must have ran really far. It was a huge forest, so it doesn't really surprise Mike that he still hasn't find Will, he was just hoping he would find Will very soon.

Will was sitting on the dirty ground, his pants and socks covered in dirt, mut and leafs, but Will didn't care about him being dirty right now. It was the least thing he cared about now actually. Will was still sobbing a bit, but not as much as in the cabin. He mostly felt anger now again, and not sadness. He just couldn't believe it. Why would his own best friend that was also his crush do this to him? Will wipped the tears away from his face with his sleeve, making his sleeve wet. Will sat there for 12 more minutes, until he heard the leafs moving.

Oh no, please don't say it's him again... Will thought to himself, and what he meant with "him" was Vecna. He was so scared Vecna was here again, but he was so wrong about that. After a minute, he saw that it was Mike. Well, that wasn't much better actually. "WILL! There you are!" Mike yelled in joy, now running towards Will, but Will didn't seem so happy at all, he just decided to ignore Mike.

Will stood up from the dirty ground and was about to walk away until Mike grabbed his arm tightly and stopped him. "Look man, i'm sorry okay?" Mike apologized, but of course this wasn't going to fix anything at all. "Mike, do you really think a sorry is going to fix it? 3 years ago you made fun of me for loving d&d and now you joined a d&d club yourself!? What is wrong with you exactly!?" Will yelled with obvious anger in his eyes, Mike now started to get mad again and he had no idea why.

"Yeah well 3 years ago El was still with me and when i joined that d&d club you and El moved away so i finally had time for d&d! Just get a girlfriend yourself and you will see how it is like!" Mike yelled back at Will, and this really hurted Will. A girlfriend? Will didn't want a girlfriend at all. He never did. He wanted a boyfriend. He wanted Mike. It just hurted so much how Mike would never ever realize this. Will just stared at Mike with pain in his eyes instead of anger this time, which made Mike feel even more guilty.

Mike sighed. "I'm sorry, i just..."

"..hate you." Mike said. Will's eyes went wide. No way. No way he just said that. No. Way. Will knew Mike could be an total asshole sometimes, but did Mike actually HATE him!? Will's heart stopped for a second, and tears started rolling down his cheeks again. "Mike I-..." Will said. The pain in his voice was obvious. His own best friend hated him?

"What? did you really think i would love you? Did you actually think i cared about you?" Mike said, slowly walking towards Will. So Will was right? Mike actually hated him and all that 'caring' was just stupid acting? "Mike stop, this isn't true, you're not like this..!" Will raised his voice while crying and while the pain in his voice started getting more and more obvious.

"Aw, you look so pathetic. You really thought i would like you back...how sad." Mike said as he stood only about 10 cm away from him, now holding Will by the chin. Wait, how did Mike even know about Will's feelings towards him? Will or Jonathan never ever told him! Will cried more and more now, until he noticed something in Mike's eyes. His eye pupils were completely gone. No way this was actually Mike. Will now realized. This wasn't Mike, this was Vecna.

Will ran away as fast as possible, and he noticed that the world around him was getting darker and darker. He was in the Upside Down. Will just kept running and running, until he bumped into someone. It was his father. Will looked terrified now, no way Vecna even knew about his father. Lonnie turned around, and just like with Mike, his pupils were gone. "Nobody will ever like you. You're a FREAK! Freak! Freak! FREAK! FREAK! FREAK!" Lonnie repeated for atleast 35 times. Will ran away from his father too now. He ran as far as possible, until he saw Mike again, but not only Mike, also his mother, El, Dustin, Lucas, Max and Hopper. Their pupils were all gone.
