The kiss | Chapter 8

It was the next day. The day after Will has been vecna'd and almost killed by Vecna. The day after Will has been absolutely traumatized without his family knowing. both Will and Mike didn't even get the change to tell Hopper, El and Joyce, because when Mike and Will came home the rest was already sleeping. It was once again a cold morning, but this time it wasn't sunny, it was a rainy, dark and cloudy morning. Both Will and Mike were still sleeping. Mike in his sleeping bag, and Will in his bed. But Will actually wasn't sleeping, he was awake, and he was planning on doing something. He was planning on doing a stupid prank on Mike.

Mike was already slowly waking up, but he was also still half dreaming, until suddenly, Mike fully woke up of the sound of Will gasping for air again. Oh no, please not again this... Mike thought to himself. He sat up as fast as possible to see if Will was okay, but then Will just started laughing like crazy. "HAHA! GOT YOU! That's what you get for being a jerk!" Will laughed as hard as he could, but Mike didn't found it funny at all, he was totally embarrassed.

"Man that's not funny!" Mike raised his voice, trying to hide his embarrassed face from Will so Will wouldn't laugh even more. "Sorry! Sorry." he apologized and finally calmed down from laughing. "Mike! Breakfast is ready!" Joyce yelled from the living room. Yes, Joyce was already awake, and so were Hopper and El. Mike and Will slept in because of everything that happened yesterday, meaning Joyce, Hopper and El all woke up earlier than Will and Mike.

Why did Joyce only call Mike though? Did she still had no idea Will was home or something? "We're coming!" Mike yelled back from the bedroom to Joyce. We're? Joyce thought to herself, meaning she for real didn't know Will was back home. Mike stood up from the floor, and Will followed him. They now both went to the door of the bedroom and Mike opened it while Will was behind him.

Joyce looked in the bedroom for a few seconds, and saw her son Will. She ran to Will as fast as possible, pushing Mike away a little bit and hugged Will as tight as possible. "Mom---" Will said as he basically got squeezed to death by his own mother. He didn't mind hugs, but his mom always hugged him way too tight, but he knew she didn't mean to hurt him.

"I missed you so much! are you okay!?" Joyce said in a happy but worried tone as she stopped hugging Will, Will got so confused by this. He was only gone for about 2 hours, he wasn't missing or something? "Uhm, yeah? I guess..." Will lied. He didn't wanna tell his mother about what happened yet, because he didn't wanna make her worried or give her too much stress.

"Okay, okay, good, but if something is wrong tell me, alright?" Joyce said while giving her youngest son a small smile, and Will just replied by nodding. No way he was going to tell her about what just happened, not yet. Will and Mike now both walked to the dinner table, and they all sat down on a chair. Joyce made Mike, El and Will eggos with syrup and milk as drinks, and she made herself and Hopper eggs with bacon and lemonade as drinks.

"Hey Mike, did you apologize to Will? because you know what is going to happen if you didn't." Hopper asked Mike who was sitting infront of him while taking a bite of his bacon. Mike now looked at Will, and Will looked at Mike, both their cheeks red. That wasn't just an apology, that was a whole monologue, but Mike just decided to answer with yes.

"Uhm, yeah i did actually." Mike said as he looked down at his eggos that were getting a bit cold now. "Are you lying to me?" Hopper said, and it was clear he was getting kinda mad, but Will decided to stand up for Mike. "No he's not, i promise, his apology was good too." Will said and Hopper just nodded and continued eating his bacon and eggs.

*SMALL TIME SKIP*
It was a few hours later. Joyce, Hopper, El, Mike and Will all finished eating their breakfast, they all got changed and they played a few board-games since they had no idea what else to do with this weather. Mike, Will and El now sat on the couch while Hopper and Joyce were both sitting on chairs in the livjng room. It was quiet for a while, until Mike said something. "We can go outside and just enjoy the rain?" Mike recommended, but everyone except Will looked at him like it was the worst idea in the whole world.

"I guess that's a no." Mike said, rolling his eyes. He tried thinking of another idea, but then Will said something back. "We can go outside together alone in the rain? I think it's a pretty good idea actually." Will smiled at him, making Mike really happy actually. Mike stood up from the couch as fast as possible, and went to the coat rack that was standing close by the front door. His raincoat was hanging on there.

Mike put on his raincoat and also his shoes, and told Will to come with him. "I'm coming!" Will replied, he now also stood up from the couch and wanted to go to the coat rack, until Hopper grabbed his arm softly and stopped him. "Be careful, okay? if he is going to be a jerk again i'll break his ne-" Hopper said but Joyce interrupted him. "Okay, okay Hopper, calm down. Just go sweetie." Joyce said to both Hopper and Will, and Will nodded.

Will now also went to the coat rack by the front door just like Mike, and put on his dark gray raincoat and then he put on his shoes. "Bye." Will said before leaving the cabin with the front door closed behind him. "Bye sweetie." Joyce answered, but Will already left the cabin.

When Will got outside, he smelled the amazing smell of rain and wet wood and he loved it. "It stopped raining, uh, i mean, we can still enjoy the smell?" Mike said and Will nodded in agreement. Will ran to Mike, and started walking with him into the forest so they could enjoy the amazing smell of rain together, and while walking, Will started a conversation.

"Did you mean what you said?" Will asked Mike which made Mike confused. Mike turned his head to Will and raised an eyebrow giving him a "what do you mean" look. "Yesterday, did you mean that sort of monologue..?" Will asked again, and Mike stopped walking which kinda scared Will. What if he didn't mean it at all? But Mike thought something else. Why would he think i didn't mean it? Mike thought to himself confused.

"Of course i did, why wouldn't i?" Mike said, and now Will stopped walking. Will looked at Mike for a few seconds and he then walked to Mike. "What?" Mike said confused, raising his eyebrow even more.

Will now put his hand on Mike's chest and smirked at him. "So you love me?" Will asked while smirking and raising an eyebrow. Now it was Mike who turned red, and his eyes went wide. "Uh- Uhm- Y-Yeah?" Mike stuttered, trying to not make too much eye contact with Will. "I love you too, Mike." Will smiled at Mike, Mike now made eye contact with Will again. Will now did something that he probably shouldn't have done.

Will moved closer to Mike, and put his other hand on Mike's neck. Then he pressed his lips against Mike's lips, and Mike's eyes went even more wide. Will was now kissing his crush. His best friend since kindergarten. He knew that this could ruin their whole friendship, but he just had to do it. He couldn't keep his feelings for Mike hidden anymore. Will's head was as red as an tomato, and since he had his eyes closed he didn't see that Mike's head was even more red. After a minute Will finally stopped and he just looked Mike into the eyes, not knowing what to say.

"Mike I'm so-" but before Will could even finish his sentence, Mike kissed him this time. After the kiss, they just hugged each other tightly. "No way you thought i didn't like you back..." Mike whispered while hugging him as tight as possible, not wanting to let him go. "I did, but it seems like i'm wrong huh?" Will chuckled, and so did Mike. "Shit- I-I have to break up with El first, shit..." Mike panicked, feeling really guilty towards El right now.

"Mike, calm down, if it is anyone's fault it is mine, besides that, she's so sweet, she'll understand." Will said, trying to calm Mike down. "Yeah, y-yeah you're right." Mike nodded, slowly calming down right down.
