The group are on their way to give Eddie a new stock of food and alcohol.
"Not to be a wimp, but can I sit in the car for this?" Robin asks. "Cause this is gonna totally and royally suck"
"It'll be fine" Nancy assures the girl and herself.
"I can't stand to see those dull eyes of Eddie's break again. I really, really can't" Robin says.
"At least he can drink himself into feeling better" Steve holds up the six pack of alcohol.
"That's what my stepfather does, and what Billy used to do" Max speaks.
"Used to?" Ziggy frowns.
"He stopped after his near dead experience" Max explains.
Ziggy nods slowly.
"Why don't we give it a trial run? 'Hey, Eddie. Uh, good news first this time. We got you some Ziggy-approved junk food and that six pack you requested. Oh yeah, and we found Vecna. Only, the bad news is that he's in that other, dark, much scarier dimension that we told you about, and the gate's close, so we have no way of getting to him. Like, he's entirely shut off to us, so basically, you're screwed. And, no, no, I know you were already screwed, but now you're, like, triply screwed"
"Wait. Maybe don't put it like that" Lucas speaks up.
"We're one step closer to finding Vecna. That's what we say. That's what's important" Nancy states.
"See, Robin? Positive spin can make all the difference" Steve says.
"Oh shit" Nancy curses as they arrive at Reefer Rick's house. There are a crowd of people and police where Eddie originally was. Everyone gets out and hides behind a van.
"....the Roanne County line received a call a little after midnight..." Powell is talking into the news camera. "...reporting a homicide out here on the lake. Officer Callahan here and myself arrived first on the scene. We made our way to the shore of Lover's Lake, about ten yards from that house you see behind me. It was there we found the victim, an 18-year-old senior from Hawkins High, Patrick McKinney" Everyone looks over to Lucas. "We also identified a people of interest. Eddie Munson"
"Oh, this is not good" Steve mutters.
"Dustin, can you hear me? Ziggy? Wheeler?" Eddie's voice comes through the walkie.
Ziggy quickly takes it from Dustin. "Eddie! Eddie. Oh, my God. Are you okay? Are you hurt?"
"Ziggy. Pretty....pretty goddamn far from okay. Are you okay?" Eddie asks.
"Uh, not too great. Still cursed, you know" Ziggy states.
"Where is he?" Robin asks.
"Where are you?" Ziggy repeats the question.
"Skull Rock. Do you know it?" Eddie asks the blonde.
"Yeah, I know it, Ed" Ziggy replies. "That's near Cornwallis and Garret"
"Yeah, I know where it is" Steve states.
