I wake up to a jab to my side. I groan and sit up rubbing my eyes.
I look over to see Kelesy snoring with her mouth wide open, sleeping almost sideways on the full sized bed.
Her foot is sticking out of her white comforter, the culprit to the jab in my side.
My head aches immediately and little bits and pieces of last night come back to me.
My cheeks go red at the thought of Collins bring me back here.
I put my head in my hands.
Embarrassing.
I look over to see Shaina fully dressed and putting her makeup on.
"What're you doing up so early?" I whisper.
She laughs, "Ellis it's after noon."
"Holy shit, really?" I sit up and grab my phone. She's right, I slept half my day away.
She stands up, and slips her shoes on.
"Where are you going?"
"Shawn invited me to lunch." She smiles.
I raise my eyebrow at her, "you mean he asked you on a date? I mean I know I'm not the most experienced, but come on."
"Yes, Ellis. A date." She shrugs like it's no big deal. "What happened to you last night?" She points to the sweatshirt Collins wore last night that's now laying on the ground beside me.
"Uh?" I shrug. "I wish I knew. I just remember drinking beer, and Collins walking me home from the bar."
She eyes the sweatshirt again. Then it suddenly hits me what she's thinking.
I gasp, "no. I don't think so."
"Oh-kay."
I have lost my virginity. But still I think I'd know if we did sleep together last night. Plus, Collins doesn't seem like the type of guy to take advantage of a drunk girl. He hasn't even kissed me... that I can remember anyway.
"Well, see you later." Shaina waves at me.
Kelesy rolls over and holds her pillow down over head trying to block out our noise.
"Have fun!" I whisper.
After Shaina goes downstairs I force myself to get out of bed. I change out of the black dress I wore last night. It smells like vomit, and I momentarily hope it's my own.
I throw on a pair of jeans and a sweater. Then, I grab my toothbrush.
I walk down the hall trying to find the restroom when I run into Gabby.
"Hey," she says to me with a small smile. "You look a little rough."
"Can you point to the restroom for me?" I ask purposely ignoring her comment.
She points to the door beside her.
"Thanks." I say more aggressively than I intend. I don't know what it is about that girl that irks me so much.
Feeling better after brushing my teeth I head downstairs to look for Collins.
Justin and Danielle are sitting at the grand kitchen table in the dining room.
"Hey guys, sorry to interrupt. Do you know where I can find Collins?"
"He went for a walk." Justin says.
"Ok, thanks." I walk to the back door and open it stepping out onto the porch.
The air is more chilly than yesterday, so chilly I wish for more than just my sweater.
