We walk three blocks to one of the boys' frat houses. I've never been to a frat house, let alone a college party.

Who am I kidding, I think to myself.

I've never been to a party period.

I feel my heart start to race, and suddenly I feel like I am going to pass out.

I think Collins senses my panic because he grabs my hand, which feel like some sort of statement to the rest of the crowd.

The crowd- that was paying no attention to Collins and I. Not even glancing at our hands bound together like a friendship knot.

I felt sad.

I wish Collins would just tell me what he wants, slow, fast? Girlfriend? Friend?

It was driving me mad!

I glance at Collins from the corner of my eye. He's smiling, his cute smile. Oblivious.

Oblivious to my internal war I'm having with him, and embarrassingly, myself.

Two blonde girls dressed like- I'm sorry, bimbos walks up to us.

"Hey Collins!" The taller one says smacking her gum so loud I could hear it over the bass coming from the speakers.

Collins is obviously not amused by they're sudden appearance.

"Hey." He says back expressionless.

"We haven't seen you at a party in a while?" The short one says sounding more like a question than a statement.

"Yeah, haven't really felt like hanging around at one of these things in awhile." He says, and I'm suddenly surprised to learn Collins used to be a frequent flyer at these things.

"Wanna do some shots with us?" The taller one chimes in again, unfortunately. She wiggles her eyebrows up and down, waiting for a answer.

He looks over at me, reading my expression. Honestly, I'm not even sure what kind of look might be on my face right now. Most likely, not a good one.

"Nah, I'll pass. Thanks though." He says forcing a smile.

They smile at Collins, still not acknowledging my presence or our hands molded together.

He looks at me again, "wanna go back to your place?"

Relief washes over me, I nod the second the words leave his mouth.

"Good." He says responding to my intense, immediate nod.

We walk outside, and across wet, duey grass back to my place. A guy covering his private area runs in front of us, and all you can see is his white ass running towards the frat house.

We pause, and Collins starts laughing hysterically which throws me into my own contagious fit of laughter.

"What the fuck?" Collins manages to say between big, deep breaths.

I shake my head, unable to come up with a response for what we just saw.

"I can't take frat parties anymore. That's it, that's all." He puts his arm through mine and pulls me to his side.

As we walk, and our laughter dies down. It becomes quiet. All you can hear is people shouting in the far distance and our footsteps on the concrete sidewalk.

"I think you're a good influence on me, Ellis." He says so nonchalantly I almost miss it.

Back at my place the girls are still no where to be seen. I hate to admit it but I'm worried.

So I text Kelesy and Shaina to see if they're all right.
