They were walking in that familiar forest by the resort. Everything was the same - the trees, the wind, the calmness of the surroundings. It was only them who were different. They were walking side by side in silence, either looking at nearby trees or kicking a random pebble but not looking at each other. The sounds of insects could be heard at a distance. Eunhyuk slowly reached out for Seoyeon's hand and held it softly as they walked.
Eunhyuk finally broke the silence. " Seoyeon?" "Hmm?" She raised her head and looked at his face, finally. "Why didn't you tell me how you felt?" Seoyeon looked down again and spoke, "because I was afraid to lose you," and continued to walk, but Eunhyuk stopped. Seoyeon felt her arm extend; she turned around. "What happened?" Eunhyuk was silent. He then pulled on his arm decisively and dragged Seoyeon in his embrace. "You idiot," he said, holding her close to his chest. "You have no idea how I waited for you, but all I could feel was you going away from me." He brought her in front of himself and held her face in his hands. "Don't do that ever again, okay?" Seoyeon looked at him lovingly, "I promise, I won't. I'm sorry." Eunhyuk brought her back to his chest and held her tightly against it.
They didn't know how much time had passed, and they didn't care. The world and real life were for another day - tonight they were going to savour every moment. They had been sitting under a tree. Eunhyuk was leaning on the tree trunk and holdinga leaning Seoyeon close in his embrace. His hand was caressing Seoyeon's, as she leaned comfortably resting her head on his chest, her eyes closed. Suddenly, there was a bright light in the sky that caught their attention. Before they could react, a loud thunder came and tore the silence. Seoyeon shrieked in surprise and clutched him tightly in shock. Eunhyuk was surprised too, but more by Seoyeon's reaction than the thunder. He gently said, "It's okay, it was just thunder." Seoyeon realised that she was holding onto him very strongly, and his heart was pounding really fast. She slowly loosened her grip and started to move away from him. She lifted her head and met his eyes. They were looking for something in hers. "Sorry," and she started getting up, to get some distance between them and reduce the awkwardness. Eunhyuk, however, did not let that happen. He pulled Seoyeon's hand he was holding, and Seoyeon landed with her hand on Eunhyuk's chest and face inches away from his.
Eunhyuk looked into her eyes. He could sense apprehension in them, but he really wanted to. He wanted her to know how much he loved her. He wanted to fill her being with his love so that she would always remain happy. He started slowly reducing the distance between their faces. His eyes focused on her lips, then her eyes, looking for permission as he slowly but steadily closed the distance between their lips. Seoyeon closed her eyes as Eunhyuk's nose touched hers. He tilted to meet her lips with his.
As their lips were about to meet, a huge downpour from the sky hit them. They were startled and broke away, and looked around to see that in a second, it had started raining cats and dogs. "We should go back to the resort," Seoyeon said. "We are quite deep in the forest. We might get lost in this rain. The cottage is much nearer. Let's go there and wait for this to stop." "Okay, one sec," Seoyeon took off her heels and held them in her hand, "let's run!" Eunhyuk grabbed Seoyeon's hand, and they ran to the cottage.
