"So, how are the dance classes going?" Renee asked Seoyeon as they walked during their evening break around the office. "You have not mentioned the classes in some time. Are you not going?" "No, no, I am," Seoyeon said defensively. "Do you remember that we were learning the dance to 'mango'?" Renee nodded. "Well, we finished learning the choreography from the song. Now, we will learn some original choreography." "That sounds nice. You will get to see Eunhyuk's creativity first-hand. It should be exciting." Renee teased her. Seoyeon grew uncomfortable, "oh, Key is also very creative. Have I told you that he is a dancer as well? He has been very active in the street dancing scene, but he is still able to work during the day. Man, I don't know where he gets the strength from." "His strength comes from his motivation, darling. He must be really into dancing to have that level of dedication." Renee looked at the sky, fake pensively, "Maybe you should introduce me to him. Who knows, we hit it off?" "Oh, shut up, you flirt. Stick to Donghae, please? He is a really good guy." "So is Eunhyuk." Seoyeon's heart stopped for a second at his mention. Renee continued, "Seriously ya, he is a good guy. You guys have already become very good friends, so much so that I am somewhat jealous! You attend his dance classes, you hang out after, have fun times and hullo! The changing room incident??" Seoyeon's ears started turning red. "How can you not consider each other?" Seoyeon hesitated, then decided to talk her heart out, "I don't know. We are good together, but you know my luck. Whenever I approach someone, they reject me or are in for something else. I love where we are going with this, but I am scared as well." Renee stopped walking and turned Seoyeon to face her. She put her hands on Seoyeon's shoulders and said, "Well, I get you. But I also know that you are falling for him." "No, I am not!" Renee shushed her. "I know you are. You can't see it, but I can. I will not force you to do anything or put ideas in your head. But I want you to live the moments without hesitation. I know you have been pulling yourself back but don't. Just learn where your feelings are taking you. Sometimes, it is better to try than not try at all." Seoyeon looked at her friend with worry. "Don't worry. I am here for you." Seoyeon meekly smiled. "Thanks."
Seoyeon was making her way back to her desk when she saw Eunhyuk sitting. He was working ardently, wholly engrossed in his computer. They had been able to converse normally and carry on, but she had become apprehensive around him ever since the changing room incident. She remembered Renee's words, 'Live the moments without hesitation.' She took a deep breath and made her way to her seat.
She settled on her seat, "hey." "Hey, where were you?" Eunhyuk said, not looking up from his computer. "Just on a walk with Renee." "All good?" he asked as he bore holes in the computer screen with his eyes. Seoyeon became slightly nervous. "Yeah, all fine. Just talking." "Cool." Seoyeon waited for a reaction, but she didn't get any. After a few seconds, she unlocked her computer and checked her emails. She noticed one from the annual night planning committee titled 'Are you ready for Annual Night? Get ready to participate!' She scrolled through the mail and saw that the team was looking for participants for anchoring, singing, dancing and acting in the play. Seoyeon's eyes sparkled as she saw the openings for dancing. She remembered her feelings from the last annual day when she had seen Eunhyuk perform. "Do you want to participate?" "Huh?" Seoyeon turned and saw Eunhyuk peeking at her screen. She said, embarrassed, "I want to, but I don't know if I am good enough. I don't want to make a fool of myself in front of everyone." Eunhyuk smiled congenially and softly said, "I know you are good. I am your teacher. Sign up for it." Eunhyuk's smile filled with assurance gave Seoyeon a morale boost, and she opened the link to register.
A few days later...
The participating volunteers had been asked to assemble in the recreation room during the evening. The hall was filled with people, and Seoyeon was standing amongst them. Shindong arrived in time and spoke on the mic in front. "Hello, everyone. Thank you for volunteering to participate. Now, I would request all singing folks to go to the music room, acting folks to stay here and dancing folks to the practice room at the end of the hall. We will continue respectively. Thank you!" The crowd slowly started dispersing, and Seoyeon made her way to the practice room.
