Storm woke up, and just like always Storms' dad was yelling at Storm's mom. He woke up to them fighting all the time, a few times he has had to call the police on them. Sometimes Storm wishes he could just run away from all of it, he has tried before but he always gets caught. Today he decided he was going to try and run away again, but this time he wasn't going to make it so obvious, so he only grabbed his phone and his charger, he also grabbed a few bottles of water and his earbuds. He slowly opened his window and climbed out. It was a good thing that he lived in a one-story house because if he didn't it would make his plan a hundred times harder. He started to walk on the highway. He wasn't sure where he was going to go, but what he did know is he had to get out of that household. He started walking faster, he knew that they would find out that he was gone sooner or later and he didn't want to take any chances.
It's been a few hours since he left his house. He's surprised he got away because Storm's unsuccessful attempts have caused him to lose hope in escaping his toxic house, but he has no idea where to go now though. Maybe, he could drop by his old friend's house. However, the problem with that is he lives three hours away from the capital, and since Storm is walking on foot it will probably take up to five hours. There is nowhere else for Storm to go, so he decided to walk the five hours to his friend's house.
As he started arriving closer to the town his friend lives, he got excited and started running. As he was running he bumped into someone, it was a girl. A gorgeous girl at that. He felt really bad for bumping into her. She looked pissed at him.
"Hey! What was that for?"
" Oh my god, I'm so sorry I didn't see you there, here let me help you up."
Storm insisted. This girl was short, no wonder she fell to the ground that hard.
"Do you want me to help you up?"
She slowly reached up and grabbed his hand, Storm thought she might be scared of him or something.
"Thanks, I guess."
She glared at Storm.
"You're not from around here are you?"
"Oh no, I'm not from around here. I just came here from the Capital."
Storm smiled at the girl. She looked confused by that.
"Did you walk all the way here? That's a five-hour walk from here!"
She had this look of disbelief on her face.
"So that's how long I've been walking? Jeez, that was quite a walk."
He looked at her beaming, but he had known he had been walking for five hours, he just didn't want her to start asking questions so he lied.
"I guess I did walk five hours didn't I?"
"Did you ever stop?"
She asked.
"Nope, I walked the whole way without stopping."
Why was this girl so curious about him?
"Are you okay? Do you need water or anything? If so my house isn't far from here."
Storm looked at her and smiled.
"No that's okay, I'm sorry but I should get going. Sorry for knocking you over. Bye!"
"Wait I never got your name!"
The girl yelled.
"Oh my name is Storm, what's yours?"
"It's Sky!"
"I'm sorry but I have to get going. Bye!"
He ran off as fast as he could, he didn't want her to get too nosy.Soon enough he arrived at his friend's house.
"Shit I forgot to text him."
Storm mumbled under his breath.
"Well, I guess it's worth a shot."
He walked up to his house. He raised his arm slowly and clenched his hands. He knocked on the door, one, two, three. The door slowly opened.
"Storm? Is that you?"
