Storm was walking down the road late at night looking for a place to stay. He considered going to Sky's house again, but he decided not to because it would be a bit weird for him to show up two nights in a row. Storm thought that he could probably stop by his friends' house, but there was no way of contacting him because Storm had lost his phone charger a while ago. He thought maybe he could go buy a new charger with the money he had so he went by a store to get a new one. When he got the new charger, he made his way to Jared's house. Storm soon arrived at Jared's house and knocked on the door.
"Oh hey Storm what brings you back to my place?"
"Hey, is it okay if I crash at your place? I don't have a place to sleep tonight."
     "Yeah sure, Come in."
Storm quickly came inside because of the frigid air frosting his cheeks. He plopped down on the sofa next to Jared's old dog, Mia. Jared came and sat on the floor in front of Storm. He stared at Storm for a bit.
"So Storm, why are you all the way over here? Did your parents kick you out of the house or something?"
"No they didn't kick me out, I sort of...ran away."
"You ran away? How did you get away from them, haven't you tried many times before?"
"Well yeah I have failed in the past but this time I managed to get away."
"Wow, I thought you would never get away from that hell hole."
Jared stood up with a grin on his face and offered his hand to Storm.
"This calls for a celebration, c'mon get up. Let's grab my Dad's beer downstairs."
"No that's okay, I don't feel like getting wasted tonight."
"C'mon dude, I know you want too. Don't act like you don't want one."
Jared walked downstairs and gestured for Storm to follow. Storm decided to slowly follow from behind. He wasn't much of a drinker, so he wasn't used to this kind of stuff. Jared grabbed two beers from the mini-fridge and opened their beers. Storms' eyes were captured by the golden, fizz the beer created after being opened. Jared held out the beer, and Storm grabbed it hesitantly, hoping they don't drink too much. Once Storm took a sip, he knew it was going to be a good night. While the two boys were drinking, they stayed up talking all night about their life, school, and even girls.
"So, I met this really hot girl...Think it's Sky? Yea, it's Sky"
"Yea, Sky is pretty hot, but she doesn't seem like the dating type. "
"What do you mean? You saying I can't get with her?"
"What? No, Storm. Like, she's weird"
     "Oh, okay"
Afterward, Jared stumbled to make Storm a bed downstairs, before passing out on the couch. Storm plopped himself on top of the guest bedroom and looked out the window. He wondered, 'What's Sky doing right now? Is she having fun, or sleeping in? Doing homework?' He huffed and rolled on his side, and went to sleep with her on his mind.
