As Sky walks out of school with Cleo, she thinks about last night, and thought, 'How did he even know where my house is? Was he following me? Stalking me?' She breathes in deeply to clear her thoughts, as she looks at her house a couple of blocks away.
"So.. Did you know my mom plans on having me go a therapist because of..well, you know"
"Really? Well, hopefully, all goes well, right?"
"Yea, me too"
As Sky and Cleo step into Sky's house, Sky sets her backpack by the door and heads into the kitchen to eat, while Cleo slumps onto the couch, kicking off her shoes. Sky prepares them some snacks, such as running two apples under the warm, faucet water before handing it to Cleo as she sprawls out onto the couch next to Cleo. The girls sit in silence for a few, eating their bright, scarlet apples before throwing it in the trash. The day felt like a lazy Sunday, as the house was peaceful and somewhat quiet, as they heard the washing machine vibrating and swirling clothes. Sky almost closed her eyes till she felt two taps on her arm, and looked up to see the only other girl in the house
"What do you want to do?"
"We could go upstairs and check out my new art desk."
"Hell yea, let's do it"
The two girls head upstairs, and Cleo heads over to the desk and holds up the lifetime supply of pencils and markers
"Holy crap! There's so much stuff here! Have you used any of your supplies yet, or waiting for the perfect time to use them?"
"Waiting for the perfect. I figured if I use them now, I'll run out and I don't want to have to buy new supplies"
Cleo nods and points to the door "Oh my gosh! Did you hear that? Someone came into the house!"
"Did someone? Might be my parents, I'll be right back."
Sky heads downstairs and greets her mother, as her mother steps into the house. Sky explains to her mother how Cleo is over, and her mother sets down her bags in the dining room as she sighs and tells her, that she finds it kind of her to spend time with Cleo, and that if they need anything just to call her. Sky nods at this, and even looks outside and taps the window slightly. She has so much to do in so little time, as she thinks of the English paper that's due in two days. Anxiety coursed her body as she was frightened of receiving an 'F' in her favorite class. Sky pulls her body away from the door, and heads upstairs to see Cleo sitting on her bed. The girls would talk about their courses, the new friends they made in their classes, and how it felt like the end of the year was approaching so quickly. Sky laid back on her bed, as she giggles at Cleo's remark about how some girls in their class are 'musty' and 'dusty'. The girl spent the day filled with laughter until Cleo received a text from her parents asking her to come home.
"I'll see you tomorrow in class. Remember to bring in your new 'fancy' art supplies to impress Mrs.Dipper"
"I don't think our art teacher will be all that impressed with my supplies, but flexing on everyone seems pretty funny'
"How humble of you"
"Whatever, you flashed your diamond necklace last week and I had to endure that, so, you can endure my new 200 dollar supplies"
Cleo pushes Sky, and Sky laughs as Cleo gets up and heads out of the house. Sky waves at Cleo as Cleo was waving outside of Sky's house as she was heading to her own home. Sky smiled as she closed her window once Cleo was out of sight, and went to her bed. She kneeled at the edge of her bed, and grabbed her jewelry box from under her bed, and look inside for Storm's necklace. However, anxiety shot through her body as it was missing. She dumped her box out onto the floor and separated the necklaces from bangles, rings, and earrings as she was looking for the hourglass. Nothing is what she found. Maybe her mom went through her box for a necklace, or maybe the maids as they visited this morning. She didn't want Storm to find out she had already lost it. Her mind raced all day and night as she tried to find out who took it.
